Stoner
December 23, 1972 At the end of a rare Christmastime West Coast swing, the Sabres are shut out by goaltender Rogie Vachon and his Los Angeles Kings, 2-0. The two teams combine for only five shots on goal in one period, a franchise low. December 23, 1992 Alexander Mogilny blitzes Washington goalie Don Beaupre for a natural hat trick in a 4-1 Sabres' win at the Aud. It's the second of three tricks for Mogilny in December 1992 on his way to 76 goals for the season. December 23, 1993 Dominik Hasek shuts out the Canadiens at the Aud. The Sabres win 5-0. December 23, 1996 Dominik Hasek and Martin Brodeur play Scrooge, each making 37 saves in a scoreless tie between the Sabres and Devils in the New Jersey Meadowlands. December 23, 1998 Dominik Hasek stops all 38 Tampa Bay Lightning shots as the Sabres win 2-0 at Marine Midland Arena.
bob_sauve28
If only Hasek had been starting in 1992 and Mogilny and LaFontain had stayed healthy. I know, they didn't,but what if?

It seems like this is one of his favorite days of the year.
