At no point did I or anyone else say the Andjuice Peters will be the reason we don't win the Cup. For that to happen he would have to see the ice. Which he wont. At least not in any close game or any playoff game. He is a completely useless player. Sure Peters only plays 1-2 minutes a game. I would rather have Nathen Paetsch on the bench and playing one or two shifts in a 7 D-man rotation than sitting in the press box. Considering the fragile nature of this defense it is important to have as many game ready D-man as possible. You mentioned that the Sabres lost Thornburn. You fail to mention that keeping Peters almost cost this team Pominville. That same Pominville that has 29 goals in 77 NHL games. Who also had 5 in the playoffs. I think one of which you might consider one of the more important goals in franchise history. Where would this team have gone if the Pens had picked him up like they did Thornburn. I'm sure Peters is a nice guy. Then make him a stick boy.
