To me it was Perrault, Gare, or LaFontaine from the past and Briere or Drury from the present. Given that I was choosing the vintage jersey that allowed me to choose any of them. I chose Gare after two days of careful thought as to who is my favorite all time Sabre is. I don't buy a lot of jerseys. I have a black Rob Ray jersey that I wear to the games. This is what makes it difficult - you want one that you can proudly wear for years. When they were Sabres, I would have chosen Peca, Hasek, or Barnaby but due to the way each of them left Buffalo, I'm glad I didn't or their jerseys would either be left in my closet or sold on eBay.
