October 7, 1986

The Sabres trade longtime forward Ric Seiling to Detroit for future considerations. Seiling played in over 600 games and piled up almost 400 points for the Sabres. He might have been the first Sabre to wear a visor, after an eye injury during the 1981-82 season that cost him most of the vision in his left eye.

I'm sure you have the answer to this question. Did that injury occurr in Calgary at the old Saddledome? My memory tells it it did, but its been proved wrong here before
