LabattBlue Posted May 31, 2006 Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 I don't know if it was taped from a previous game or if it was live, but putting Marty up on the video board singing along to Sweet Caroline was great last night. Other thoughts... Standing ovation and roaring applause after Carolina made it 1-1 was a great show of support. The fans were into it from start to finish. Miller did what he had to and played a very good game with the Sabres backs to the wall. Ward was unbelievable in the first period. Score should have been 4-0. Laviolette is a whiny smug PUNK. To have not played the entire playoffs and yet maintain such a huge team spirit is a quality that escapes lesser men. LabattBlue Posted May 31, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 One other note about the game....at the pre-game party in the plaza, they brought up a fan who used masking tape to spell out "GO SABRES"(or something like that on his back). Then he went out and got serious sunburn on his back, peeled off the tape and showed off his creative side up on stage.
