inkman
Personally I don't care either way but it seems weird to just throw away a serviceable defenseman. I guess they still have Janek and Paetsch in Rochacha.
Kristian
Another moronic Regier move. Should've waived a goalie, it's not like Mika has any value anyway, and Sabres are just too damn thin on D. Pyatt springs to mind as well, his soft play isn't something this team needs. Spot duty here and there is OK when the Sabres need injury relief. Playing him at weeks at a time is not so good.

Why would you want to just give away one of the Goalies when they are a highly sought after commodity? I don't care if Darcy ever trades any of these Goalies. You can never have enough. Jillson wasn't exactly the second coming of Ray Bourque. He's okay but not great. He has far less Value than any of the Goalies.

It might me time to pick through the Atlanta roster and make a wish list. ;)

Larry Playfair
Defenseman Jeff Jillson cleared waivers Saturday and was assigned to the Rochester Americans. Jillson flew home with the Sabres and should play his first game for the Amerks on Friday.

This would have been the perfect spot for James Patrick. They could have sent Patrick to stay with Jilson and work with him between games. Jilson has the talent but it means nothing till that light goes on in his head.
LabattBlue
I would have liked to see Jillson in at least a game or two. To me it's a dead heat between him and Campbell and I have not seen a lot of difference in Campbells play compared to past years. I've gone on record as saying that I wasn't that impressed with Jillson in the past, but it would have be nice to see him in a game during the "new" NHL style of play. I guess he is in the Lindy doghouse with Mika. Like I said the other day about Campbell...he skates like Housley, but handles the puck like Varada. ;)
