As we were walking out I told Lady Ebriate it was their first regulation road win of the season and an adjacent Canucks fan looked at us in horror before disappearing into the crowd. You wife was seen out at night with a Wookie. 1 Quote
OverPowerYou Posted 5 hours ago Report Posted 5 hours ago Looks like we are on pace for our annual #7 - 12 draft pick that we won’t trade away (until they’re 24 and about to peak) 1 Quote

Doohickie Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) The Canucks have one talent: Hustle. Beyond that, they're not very good. In the first period they threw everything they could at the Sabres and the Canucks were fortunate to get out of the period tied. As the second period wore on, the Sabres seemed to adjust the constant pressure and learned to counter it, scoring two goals to go ahead. In the third they stopped trying to score which was a mistake. My frustration wasn't focused so much on how much play was in the Sabres end; it was more that the Sabres weren't playing in Vancouver's end. They were content to get it out of the zone and regroup instead of counterstriking. They were also lazy at times even clearing it out of their own end. I thought it was a big mistake but in the end, they got away with it. That kind of prevent defense/Alamo mode of play is just playing with fire. You just know the other team will score eventually. But the Canucks aren't the Oilers; they just don't have the same level of scoring talent. Edited 2 hours ago by Doohickie Quote
