In October, did you think:

 

--The Canucks would miss the postseason?

 

--The Sabs would go 80 games without a shutout?

 

--And then grab 2 in a row?

 

--The Leaves would be golfing this early?

 

--Saint Louis would not only be bad, but THAT bad?

 

--The Rangers would contend for a division title?

 

--Gretzky's wife would be implicated in a gambling scandal?

 

--Roenick would be an idiot (sorry, no surprise. Just had to include.)

 

--Carolina would win their division?

 

--Ottawa would do the same, but with Emery?

 

It's been a great season.

 

Let's see 16 more Sabre wins!

the penguins would be last in the conference by ten points?

crosby wouldnt even be the best rookie?

joe thornton would be traded by boston?

$40 million shorter, the red wings would STILL be the best team in the league?

Jaromir Jagr would be the probable league MVP again?

Jordan #%^$#!in Cheecho wouyld be the Rocket Richard winner?

Max Afinogenov would bloom....as a playmaker?

--And then grab 2 in a row? No

 

--The Leaves would be golfing this early? Yes

 

--Saint Louis would not only be bad, but THAT bad? Yes

 

--The Rangers would contend for a division title? H*ll no

 

--Gretzky's wife would be implicated in a gambling scandal? No, but I would have given that a higher likelihood than the Rangers losing the division on the last night of the season.

 

--Roenick would be an idiot (sorry, no surprise. Just had to include.) H*ll yes

 

--Carolina would win their division? No

 

--Ottawa would do the same, but with Emery? Emery winning 20, yes; Emery having to be the go to guy, probably because Dom is 41, took last year off, and had become injury prone.

 

It's been a great season.
