Eleven Posted October 28, 2009 Report Share Posted October 28, 2009 I wish the early days in the week were filled with hockey, but I believe this is at the Sabres' request. At least in the late 90s and early 00s, the Sabs wanted to have more home weekend games; as a result, there are more Fridays and Saturdays, and fewer games on other nights. For a while, no team had as many back-to-backs as Buffalo did, because of that request. (When I was a lil' guy, it seemed like Sunday and Thursday nights were Sabres home game nights by default. Then Sunday and Wednesday. Now, Wednesday and either Friday or Saturday.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
