March 6, 1977

The Sabres beat the Montreal Canadiens at the Aud, 4-1, one of only eight losses the Habs suffer all season long.

 

March 6, 1989

The Sabres trade defenseman Calle Johansson and a second-round draft choice in 1989 (Byron Dafoe) to the Washington Capitals for defenseman Grant Ledyard, goaltender Clint Malarchuk and a sixth-round draft choice in 1991 (Brian Holzinger).

This trade pissed me off as Johansson had a pretty solid career lasting FIFTEEN years with Washington.
