carpandean Posted April 22, 2008 Report Share Posted April 22, 2008 I never said that those players weren't the teams top players, what I am saying is that they are not top level talent in comparison to the rest of the league. Go to any of the playoff teams websites right now and ask if they would trade any of their top level talent for those 3 players on the Sabres straight up. And I never said that they were just our team's top players. I said/showed that they were at the top in the league in production. I said that the other announcers were stating that they were proving themselves to be top-level players (not on the team; in general). Whether they would trade or not depends on whether you are talking about "best" as veteran leaders, which these guys clearly are not, or top producers. They probably wouldn't traded their #1s guys for these two, but their #2 or #3 guy, they might. If you do add in the age factor (I was trying not to) and many more might trade to have these guys going forward. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
