Just to get things straight, MARV NEVER SAID HE WAS HANDLING THE FINANCIAL ASPECTS OF BEING AN NFL GM!

When he was hired he said he would only handle the player relations and chosing the players, coaches, etc. He said the Bills staff already had someone who would handle all the financial aspects of the Salary negotiations. So all Marv does is go out and say, this is who I want to bring in for an interview and this is the type of players we want. So why does he have to understand how the Salary cap and franchise tag work? He has someone working for him for that.

Sp far he has done a great job evaluating and choosing players. He is building a team that will be able to compete FOR YEARS TOO COME, not just now. That means he is looking for good young players that have better upside, so that the will not be dropping tons of money on FA's and already established players. Building a team around FA's gives you a smaller window of being successful then building around young players

I don't understand whatall these mopron lemmings are running around screaming the sky is falling after what Marv said in the Press Conference. From what I read into it, he said he is focusing on stopping the run (d-line, and LB's) and providing JP with a good o-line to block for him. Thats what this team needs to do to make the playoffs. Instead everyone is focusing and crying about Marv not fully understanding the Salary cap or the Tag rules (and I would really like to know exactly how many fans truly understand it, and not just think they understand it because of what they tryed to pick up off message boards. I'm sure it is a very complicated document, like the NHL CBA, which I can only think of atleast one person who seems to understand it here.

Maybe, like last year, everyone should just sit back, take it easy, enjoy the spring andsummer, and wait to see in September what Marv has done before the clifs become overcrowded as everyone tries to jump off.

As for Willis, why does everyone care about a comment Willis said in a second rate porno magazine? He said IF the NFL was going to move a team to Toronto, it should be the Bills. Guess what, he's right because a team in Toronto would kill the Bills and I for one would rather see the team stay in the general area, then to get moved some where else across the country.

Inkman, the only reason this Press Conference will blow up in their face is because fans want to blow it out of proportion. Buffalonians seem to enjoy wallowing in their own sorrows and crying "whoa is me"

True, but unfortunately, perception is reality and right now the overwhelming consent is that it didn't look good.

I am also taking the sitting back and waiting approach. Marv dealt us a pretty good hand last year and I'm intereseted in what will happen this year.

Marv dealt? Marv has never even seen the cards.

And how sad is it that 7-9 is considered pretty good. I gues sif you're starving even a crap sandwich would look good.

7-9 is pretty good for a team that was in the first year of a complete overhaul and wasn't expected to do anything but compete for the first overall pick.
