How can this team be so bad at faceoff's?!?! 12 to 1 deficit is inexcusable.

I don't consider Buffalo as an AHL town, but there are clearly struggles filling seats for Sabre games, especially in the lower bowl. IMHO - there is a lot of "show me" skepticism and thinking where people will not spend $'s until they are convinced the team will show up and play a strong game (win or lose). That said, even if they get back to winning ways at home, I have a fundamental question for those who still live in the area..... Does a small market area like Buffalo have enough "wealth" in the region to fill the arena every game? I'm not trying to insult anybody, but times are tough for a lot of families and I often wonder if there are enough people who have sufficient disposable income to sell out every game....especially the lower bowl seats. The Bills sell out, but there's X amount of games for an entire season, much less than for a hockey team. Again, not trying to offend anybody, but a genuine question if there's enough people who can afford to fill the arena every game.....assuming the team plays well enough to get people to WANT to come.

I want more STP, but coupled with planting a screen in front of goalie. Either it helps prevent the goalie from seeing it and/or maybe ties up a defender which can further help the screen while creating more open space in the zone.

ONE point may have been good enough to make fans happy last year, but it should not be now. I am tired of the idea that they have to LEARN from their mistakes, like last night. Granato has had enough time that they should know what to do, but that did not happen. A lost point opportunity in November means that the Sabres are a game earlier into PLAYOFF mode in the spring...meaning they have to play under more intense pressure earlier in the new year and risk burn out (even if they make the playoffs).

The problem with Mule is exactly what is going on now....he's injury prone. I love the guy in the lineup, but realistically he's always going to miss a fair number of games.
