Tanev, is very much in a similar boat with how often he is injured. Shot blocker style dmen are more often injured than those who aren't actively using their body to stop 95mph slapshots.

If I were Granato, I would of called Niklas Hjalmarsson or even Jay McKee to show some pointers on shot blocking.

Perhaps another thought would be to STOP trying to block shots and instead let the goalie see them and make the save.  IMHO - they are better off keeping the goalie's line of sight clear, including not screening or deflecting any opposing shots vs. risking injury.  Let the goalies do their job.

Why do I suspect the average poster here spends more time thinking about improving the roster than Kevyn does?

GMKA has already marked his job as "mission accomplished" for the season by picking up Robinson.  On to the draft to find the next high skill perimeter forward with no grit.

I hate to say it because it just brings back nightmares of the tank era, but...this team needs to lose and lose badly for the next 5 games. This is not wanted for a better draft pick, but to tear this thing down once and for all. Make someone interim coach and then pounce on the very first coach that they feel can lead this team. THat could happen in a week or in a few months.

"IF" that were to happen, seems like Seth Appert is the guy they would put in place.....since none of our existing assistants were elevated when DG was ill.  Pretty sad....reminds me of the Ron Rolston era.
