You stress about about Quinn when his play is actively costing you goals, or at least prime chances against.  He does that more than any other forward, and its by a lot.  And the reaons are obvious, he is just not skating...not that its that he's slow, he is giving up on plays in the neutral zone that lead to scoring chances, or goals allowed by the guy on his side of the ice.

The D-men would look a lot better if they got support from the forwards, and in many cases Its Quinn not getting back.

The question I have is why is Quinn not sitting out more games.  IMHO - if Lindy is in charge to make his own lineup decisions, then I think he would sit Quinn.  I have no proof, but wonder if Lindy is being forced to play him from GMKA and TP?

If Quinn is not 100%, then he should sit period until he's 100%....then do a reconditioning stint in Rochester maybe?

He's not good at faceoffs, but the rest of this is objectively incorrect.

Over the past 3 seasons he has averaged 39 assists over 82 games player and has a 52.6% Goals for %

This season it's 33 and 58.4%. That's as the Sabres best offensive weapon, playing against the other team's best defenders.

By no measure is that 'bad'.

Fair enough.  My concern with TNT at center revolves around his puck handling abilities.  I feel like he’s not particularly good at passing and maintaining puck possession.  I don’t know if there are stats on this, but to my eye he is not a true center at puck management.

I don’t necessarily disagree.  I wrote how I think Adams views the roster.  Before the Norris trade we had arguably one true center (McLeod) and two guys masquerading as centers (Cozens and TNT) with a rookie Kulich filling in at center as needed.  After the Norris trade we have two real centers plus TNT and Kulich playing center as needed.

Where I disagree with you is I think Kulich is best suited to play center long-term.

Fair enough….I think Kulich playing wing is the 2025 version of the TNT at center experiment.  The only real true C that I see anywhere in the organization is Östlund.

It's kind of nice to be arguing that we have 4 possible legit centers for 3 jobs.  It's kinda of a nice problem to have.  This breads flexibility.  The next HC (Ruff or someone else) can mix and match to see which combos are affective.  Personally, I like TNT on the wing.

Right now 7 of the top 9 forwards heading into next season are locked in with TNT, Tuch, JJP, Zucker, Kulich, Norris, and McLeod.   Beyond them are Greenway, Quinn, Benson and possibly Rosen fighting for the last 2 jobs in the top 9.

Long list, but unfortunately it still needs another center.  Kulich should be a winger.

Exactly! Adams has said multiple times that he only wants players that want to be in Buffalo. Cozens is another example of a player not wanting to be in Buffalo anymore. Him standing there, watching Dahlin get punch by two guys showed me that Dylan was done. He got what he wanted.

Muel is up next.....completely ignored what was happening in the scrums and skated away.

Why isn't McLeod? His defensive metrics are good, his offense is decent. If they put him at 2c for a full season you might have a 50pt center thats good defensively which is exactly what you need.

There's no chance in hell Adams is trading for a 2c this offseason. He doesn't have the guts because it would require him trading someone like Kulich or Peterka and then some to get that player.

I agree that McLeod has shown something more than I expected this season.   If the choice were between Cozens and McLeod as our 2C, I would definitely agree that it's easily McLeod.  I can only say that I had a higher expectations of how Adams would construct the spine and that McLeod was brought in to be our 3C.  IMHO with TNT as a winger now, we are back to needing another top 6 center who has offensive/playmaking.  If it turns out to be McLeod, I agree with you that we could do worse.....but I also think we need an insurance policy (in case of injury) of another 2C or 3C who can play top 6.

Also IMHO - I still see Kulich as a winger, not a center.

I really think it depends on Kulich.  If the kid is ready for 2C next season, Tage is a winger.  If he’s not ready, Tage moves to center.

If Kulich is the 2C next season, then once again TP and GMKA have failed to do their job.  The 2C is not in the organization today (it’s not McLeod either).

Just a follow up on this. Quinn wasn't always that way.

2 years ago he had 42 shots on net from the front of the net in 75 games (1 every 1.8 games)

Last year he had 12 in 27 games (1 every 2.3 games)

This year 1 out of every 11 games...its not only a small sample, its over the entire season.

And its not the system, as mentioned above the other wingers are going to those areas.

Quinn has, this year, just turned into one of the most 'perimeter' wingers in the league.

    He’s become a complete coward….plain and simple.

I am all in on Dobson, as I mentioned in another thread. He has an offensive side that makes Power a perfect player to trade away. And it is so much easier to find a LHD stay at home than a RHD.

It’s too bad that we have what I already thought was a stay at home LHD in Muel.  He’s just garbage period
