  1. The Sabres will be moving their games to old Highmark (Rich Stadium) since the Bills won’t be using it after this upcoming season. (Kidding of course)
  2. Purely wishful thinking, but how about Marcus Foligno’s dad Mike? He may have been considered an added player after Dale McCourt, but he was the best part of that historic trade. Maybe Doan can surprise us with his scoring and leadership???
  3. I would not want to work in the Sabres season ticket office….how do you sell tickets with no excitement?!?! Pegula can fire his entire Marketing staff since they have nothing to do.
  4. I know these are all player moves, but my vote for worst move was to hire GMKA.
  5. So no Eric Staal in the room….or did I miss seeing him? I guess he wasn’t important enough to be there or that he himself didn’t want to attend?
  6. Seems like a logical assumption….since that is how the Bills are supposedly structured (McDermott direct to Pegula).
  7. Unless GMKA has Tuch, Dahlin or TNT telling him otherwise, I think he’s done. Getting Tuch extended could be his next priority.
  8. Yes….looking down the road a few years, a right defense group that includes Mrtka, Bedkowski and I’ll add Kleber from last year’s draft looks solid and difficult to play against. I am not overlooking Kesselring either, who I hope will bring some snarl that we need right now.
  9. But.....what competent GM would want to come work for Pegula? Hence, Pegula is still the problem.
  10. IMHO he has leverage with Columbus. He can go to the KHL otherwise.
  11. Maybe they should convert him to a top 6 forward and see what he can do.
  12. He’ll only come over if you tell him that he doesn’t have to spend any money to buy a bottle of wine to bring with him to dinner.
  13. And who is the president of the Sabres hockey ops? Answer: Terry Pegula
  14. Maybe Kevyn’s next tunnel vision project (besides loading up on RHD’s) is to obtain players with the same last name of former well known NHLers? After MacTavish, he can try to get a Domi, Bertuzzi or even better a Tkachuk! 😁 All joking aside….I would not mind seeing this trade scenario happen.
  15. Robertson staying in Dallas?
  16. Thanks for this info. Wondering if you have the time or ability to factor out PP points for any of these players. I am assuming McLeod has limited PP time and that his points are mainly even strength, but if other guys on this list had PP minutes, maybe their points totals reflect that? Maybe not, just wondering to myself.
  17. Not trying to be an a$$, but can this group actually play DEFENSE well in our own zone? No doubt it is a highly talented group, but I wonder if it still has enough snarl, physicality and a defense first mentality. I hope they prove me wrong. Also, somebody please fire Wilford in a rocket off into the sun
  18. So by default would the timid ones be: Muel, Power, McLeod, Quinn, Kulich?, Bryson Uncertain to me (timid or pack runner): Byram, Timmins Hopefully the new names added to the pack guys will make a difference….as that group outnumbers the “timid” guys that I think are there.
  19. Jesus I hope they don’t give Muel an “A” again next season. I would like to think in a Florida locker room, he would have been pitchforked for not responding to the aid of a teammate. By contrast in Buffalo, he get’s to keep a letter he never deserved in the first place (just like his contract).
  20. And with zero changes in the coaching staff, I have no faith the PP strategy will change. No new proven PP asst. coach on staff to change the strategy. Yet another failure by management to address a glaring need.
  21. IMHO - the PP is not going to be any better than last year unless Adams acquires a forward who can carry the puck into the zone and maintain control while the other players get in and in position. To my eye, PP zone entries have been terrible.
  22. Maybe he decided he didn’t like the view of KeyBank Center from his backyard so much after all.
  23. Maybe the key is “thus far”, but my question is does his plan actually include becoming a playoff team (or is that just icing on cake on top of being thrifty)? Not getting too much worse won’t help Dahlin, TNT and Tuch want to stick around, but then again maybe the plan is to move them out for rebuild 4.0, 5.0 or whatever would be next.
  24. GMKA keeps talking about having a “plan”, but I for one have no idea what that is….and I suspect he doesn’t either. That or he isn’t willing to be truthful about it because he knows he would get roasted for it (ex. Being cheap). I would suspect the coaching staff is as well.
