We all know TP and GMKA have their heads up their a$$e$, but if they just watched even a game or two of these playoffs, how can they not understand this team isn’t remotely close to being built for the playoffs? Unfortunately, I am feeling more convinced that they don’t want to build a team capable of succeeding in the playoffs….but rather a team of soft players who lacks guts and physicality.

Anonymous players spill on what went wrong this year
Carmel Corn replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I wonder if the other players resented Benson being there simply because he plays with heart and guts, unlike the majority of other older and bigger players already there. The young little scrappy kid embarrassed the rest of the roster by doing the heavy lifting that others should have (but didn’t). -

On a different note, I am surprised that Ruff let Appert, Wilford, etc. serve as his assistants. Once again following Adams. -
Who the F cares if a guy like Bryson is “liked” in the locker room!!! I want a responsible GM to focus on the high priorities vs. worrying about extending a filler 7 or 8 reserve defender…who isn’t very good at playing defense. Geez Kevyn…were you really worried about losing Bryson to another team?!?! What a F’in idiot!

There’s virtually nothing I’ve heard Adams say today that is different than what I remember from last year. Maybe some of the names are different of course, but the essence of what he’s saying is that they (and HE) wasn’t good enough, that they continue to look for ways to improve the roster, that they’ll do deep dives into all areas, and having more “conversations”…blah, blah, blah.

Some points are valid and I agree, but what the overarching intent of my post is that nothing changes as long as Pegula and Adams are still in charge. The fish stinks at the head and I don’t see Karmanos or any other GM (even from the outside) having the autonomy to operate independently. A new GM (Karmanos, etc.) is still nothing but a figure head having a GM title, but no real position power to make sweeping changes.

How would you retool this team this summer?
Carmel Corn replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Well, Zuck may have just PO'd Terry and GM Howdy Doody with this quote. Maybe our thin-skinned owner and his favorite GM son will now trade Jason this offseason....since he dared to say something that doesn't match the company line (even though it is the absolute truth). -
I would be curious if somebody can compare GMKA’s comments from last year’s season ending presser to this upcoming one. What I am fishing for is to see how much this year’s comments will sound exactly like last year’s. In other words, I am saying GMKA doesn’t need to have a presser this year…..all he has to do is replay last year’s.

Do you believe the Sabres will make the playoffs in 2026?
Carmel Corn replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Is there another option for “NO” based on the notion that they are simply not good enough (vs. just being unlucky)? -
How will you react to no offseason structure changes to FO/Coaching
Carmel Corn replied to JP51's topic in The Aud Club
Terry thinks he’s smarter than everybody else. Very little change occurs despite the overwhelming evidence that things are not working. Having a delusional owner who is too stubborn to admit he’s wrong is an unacceptable situation. -
GDT: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Buffalo Sabres Tuesday 4/15 7pm ESPN+ & MSG

So will Austin get 400 as an ENG? -
Not sure what all this means (above), but I simply don’t see the city stepping up at all. I honestly think the politicians in Buffalo and Erie county are indifferent to the possibility of the Sabres leaving. I’m not trying to be political at all….just merely speculating that the city will not offer much of anything to improve the arena to keep the team in town.

Injury updates Norris and Power, April 15, 2025
Carmel Corn replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Muel wasn't satisfied with injuring himself multiple times....he decided to injure a fellow teammate (friendly fire) with the collision that ended up hurting Power.
