Quick glance at the preds depth chart he’s currently the 3rd pair, 6th dman. Is that worth paying 5.5 per year for? I’d want to find avg salary of 3rd pair or 6th dman and go off that.

This is an INSANE deal for a Dman that got 12 pts in 68 games last year. If KA did this this place would erupt.

You're not getting a player like Kyrou for Byam + Top prospect alone. He's had 4 straight 65+ point years and he's signed long term for 6 more years. He will cost a lot. I get the point of the LW need but I'm strictly coming from a "I need to replace Peterka's scoring" angle. I'd be willing to part with the 9th and Byram for that.

We are not getting Hagel, unfortunately. Were a team that drafted him and didnt sign him come time and relinquished his rights, we have no direction from ownership, a 14 yr playoff drought, horrible management, and no palm trees. He'd be insane to even consider us.

The problem is that we have another young, promising, drafted player asking for a trade out. Which lowers value in the trade market too, and thus return. That’s the problem with this trade and why I don’t like it whatsoever. Especially with so many other avenues they could’ve gone with JJ.

Thought of something today. I dont know how to check or verify this fully but I think it's correct... Is this the furthest into both NFL and NHL seasons (DEC 27th) that the Bills have as many or more wins as the Sabres (12)? Quick checked math and the short covid year with 15 losses started in JAN so wouldnt fully count (Bills went 13-3 that year).
