  1. I see Gaustad only played 8+ minutes. Was he also injured??
  2. What happened to Connolly?
  3. Good to hear Corp. Appreciate the summary.
  4. Jus caught the last few minutes on the radio. Glad that they got another win, but disappointed that Miller gave up 4 goals. How bad were they? GO SABRES!!!!
  5. Sabres 4 Washington 1
  6. That goal by Vanek was a thing of beauty. Another great win for the Sabres and another nail in the Bruiins coffin. Good to see Max going again!!!! #1 overall in the East is not far away...Go Sabres!
  7. I must have wiped this from my memory forever as I have no recollection of this catastrophe.
  8. Gotta go with the flow... Buffalo 8 Boston 7
  9. I believe Marty will get the start tomorrow(he was getting it regardles of today game) and then Ruff will come right back with Miller against the Captials.
  10. HUGE game for Jochen Hecht. Take that Kate Smith!!!!
  11. WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take that Flyers! See how far you go with your bunch of slow defensemen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Crazy game. I don't think Miller is going down more than he usually does, but he whiffed on at least one of those shots and a couple of others were rang in off the post. Not making excuses for Miller, 5 goals against in 2 periods is downright awful.
  13. Sabres keep rolling. Just can't pick against them. Buffalo 3 Philadelphia 2 in OT.
  14. Exciting game that brought back memories of the 70's when the Sabres could almost score at will. Good to see that on a night when Miller was not at the top of his game, that the Sabres could go toe-to-toe with an offensice machine. My favorite part of a game like this is when WGR replays all of the goals the next morning. It's an RJ festival!! :)
  15. Tough call as to who dresses if 2nd round pick makes it to Buffalo by game time... Peters or 2nd round pick?
  16. It's been awhile since I've seen video of #11's 500th goal, but I vaguely remember laughing that Foligno seemed more excited than Gilbert. :)
  17. I think it would be a case of, here's a quick physical, go find a jersey that fits you and then have the trainer sew your name on the back. K-U-B-I-N-A. Now get out there and kick some A$$!!!!
  18. Tampa 10 Buffalo 0...Team chemistry is all screwed up because Darcy traded Artem Kriukov for a ride on the Miss Buffalo, a free game of bowling & a bag of day old bagels from Manhattan Bagel. In reality...Tampa is in a free fall. Trade or no trade the Sabres spank the Lightning 5-2.
  19. It was a close game, but one that made me feel like it should have been 6-1 Sabres instead of 3-2. They were hitting, had a ton of scoring chances, played solid in their own end and came out with a W. PS Jochen Hecht is quietly up to 17 goals on his way to a very solid season. Speaking of unsung heros, I think he fits the bill for the current team. PS2 Fitzpatrick is getting a bit of a bad rap here. He is a +2 since 1/1. I am not saying he is a top 4 blueliner, but I don't mind him as a number 6 or 7. His play in his own zone is better than Cambell, but a lot of people want to overlook this because of Campbell's PP contributions. GO SABRES!!
  20. Boston doesn't have a prayer. Miller gets his first shutout of the season. Buffalo 4 Boson 0 GO SABRES!!!!
  21. This trade pissed me off as Johansson had a pretty solid career lasting FIFTEEN years with Washington.
  22. According to this wikipedia entry, Goyette was never a Sabres captain... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_Sabres#Team_captains
  23. The guys on WGR earlier this afternoon said they spoke with Paul Hamilton who said that Marty was getting the start tonight.
  24. I loved Eddie Shack during his short stay with the Sabres, but you talk about a trade that had a major impact on the Sabres franchise for many years. WOW!!!
  25. Derek Roy's play now compared to the start of the season is a perfect example of letting a player build some confidence. If the NHL continues it's infraction crackdown into the future, Roy will be a 2nd line Sabres center for many years to come. By the time all is said and done, we might even retire his number.
