I am 100% on board with being more patient this year, as opposed to the usual blowing it up and putting us back another five years with a bunch of panic moves. Stick with the plan, we're not playing up to expectations, but I'm taking the long term view and it will pay off.

I find it amazing how little it takes for this board to completely melt down. It's embarrassing.

Our next five games are against Columbus, Ottawa, Montreal, Pittsburgh and Seattle. All winnable games. For us to crawl back into contention we need to win all five. I think we can do it.

I guess they're pretty happy with the other lines now and don't want to break them up. We'll see how it goes.

I disagree with this. Again, they have a very young team - they're talented, but it can take a while for the coaching to really kick in for the consistency. Back-back games like this can be one of those big learning moments. I can see the team playing better from here, even if we don't quite get to the playoffs again. This coaching staff can get us there for the long term as long as management doesn't listen to the long-suffering, but panicking fans.
