Not really, like in any sport fans often cheer for random teams that they have no real connection to. Like me, Canadian, Sabres fan for over 50 years now.

This rumour is just a case of the Vancouver media trying to stir something up as Kuzmenco has been a topic on the sports shows out here. I'm sure they think Buffalo would be happy to make a lopsided trade in Van's favour, but it ain't happening. No smoke, no fire.
