He's having a nice April. I won't go back and list March or January because it will trigger someone and they'll tell me I'm cherry picking.

But the prospect that would replace him would be a rookie that would need a couple years to develop as well, so you're not getting much of a benefit overall for that move. I don't think he's that easily replaceable. Trade VO/Hinestroza/Jost before Casey is a better idea IMO

I'm not sure why people think he's a lock to improve the Sabres defence right from the start. He's a prospect - to give some perspective Kale Clague was also drafted in the 2nd round, 51st overall.

Carolina - UPL

Rangers - Levi

Devils - Comrie

Then depending on if we're eliminated or not

Sens - Anderson if we're out, Levi if we're alive

BJs - Levi if he didn't play the Sens, or UPL

I think signing a free agent d-man or two is a far better solution than giving up on prospects when we don't even know they're ceiling. Build from within, stay with the plan GM KA.

We were not likely to do much damage in the playoffs this year anyways. I wouldn't give up any assets from this team until the offseason. Making the playoffs this season wasn't a necessity, next year will be. I'm not frustrated at all, I'm enjoying this development season for what it is, and next year who knows how far we can take it with another year of maturity.
