Why do people assume Rosen has no value? When we drafted him everyone knew he was going to take longer than other prospects? He was a small, undersized, underdeveloped kid with promising abilities. But we knew he was years away. He’s been playing really well in Rochester and every time he gets called up he’s playing with 4th line trash. No way you can tell if someone has it that way

I’m not sure we’ll “miss” on Mrtka. I suspect he’ll be there at 9. I think it will come down to if we want him or someone else. But I like the idea of those guys though. I also looked into that big winger you like for our 2nd round pick. I’d love it if we came away with some big boys in this draft.

And not the 9th overall pick either Didn’t Muel’s dad play for the Rangers?

I don’t really like Miller. I’d much rather go after Rasmus Anderson.

I think Mrtka makes the most sense of who will be available for us. If he learns a little offense and a little toughness then I think he’ll be a solid selection.

But at the time we didn’t realize they were poor prospects. We had Grigs, Girgs, McCabe, Risto, Zadarov. We were even excited about Baptiste and Bailey. And don’t get me started on how awesome Pu was gonna be! lol

My problem is so many of you guys are really rooting for the Sabres to trade picks and prospects for players who help us win now. Almost like “screw the future, I want to win now”. And that’s cool. But it’s probably some of the same people who absolutely chastised Tim Murray for doing exactly that during his time. Now, Murray’s plan didn’t work, but he mortgaged our future to bring in players to help the team win now just like what you’re asking Adams to do.

I’m not going to get into details, but “allegedly” Ruff would go into the office of a colleague of his and vent about how he hated being “stuck” with his assistants.

I’m curious what the value of some of our young players are. How would they rank as a trade asset. Now, I’m not ranking these guys, but curious what other people think. Peterka Benson Kulich Quinn Östlund Helenius

Someone on Sabre Noise suggested trading Peterka, Kulich and the 9 for Robertson. That’s a lot to offer.

I want a guy whose last name starts with “M” in this order. Misa. Martone. Martin. McQueen.

Uh oh. I’m not seeing a likely selection of ours on there. Mrtka keeps getting mocked to us by others.

Certainly doesn’t. But let’s say the rumors have some merit and he won’t resign with us. Wouldn’t you want to take the best deal available for him? Or does every trade have to be a hockey trade?

I understand it would set the team back, but if he’s refusing to resign with us and we can get the 4th overall? There’s not many better options out there. I doubt Peterka alone could get that deal done anyways.
