It will be a two point lead after Wednesday. No way Buffalo loses to Toronto, and that is the game at hand the Sabres have. And looking at the remaining games after that, Buffalo has a much tougher schedule.

So the Sabres are really gonna this whole thing up, I can feel it. The worse this team should be after trades, injuries etc, they seem to play better. Without their best player (Ennis) they are out shooting teams with ease. I don't get it. I bet Murray really wishes he traded Meszaros right about now.

I'm more worried about #3. I would feel much better with McDavid than Eichel as I think Connor is a sure fire dominant NHLer. I think Eichel will be really good, but I also think he has a better chance at being a bust as well.

I hear ya, but Kaleta is one guy who risks his future every game he plays. Does he play reckless, yes. But for what he gets paid compared to a Hodgson, he is one dedicated m-fer no matter what. I'll take him on my team anyday.

Anyone know how much a plate costs? I know you can get group tables as well. I would love to be a fly on the wall at this event either way.

Absolutely. I played in many a beer league and no matter how bad the teams I played on were, I always wanted to win. And all I got paid per game was maybe a beer or two and a case of chlamydia on occasion.

I didn't mean this to sound like I'm bothered by it, because I'm not. I knew long ago what we were in for. It's just that the buildup to this game bothered me because everyone in hockey nation said that IF the Sabres lose, it's because they tried to on purpose. That is total horse and it pisses me off that everyone thinks that way about the Sabres. These players have not given up one iota. They may suck as a team, but you can't question their compete level. Couldn't have said it better. We are family....

Andre Benoit's name just came to mind. Seriously, the Sabres all but have 30th locked up. I feel almost content after last night's game.
