  1. Hypothesis: We must protect Borgen at all costs

Reasoning: to say something outlandish and gain attention and prove I'm smarter than everyone else including NHL people

Evidence: Any stats are ok, no matter how small the sample size and without regard to context

Debunking: A couple weeks ago it was get rid of Casey Mittelstadt to keep Borgen at all costs

I’m starting to think that Sam is Pierre Turgeon and we need to find Pat Lafontaine. Turgeon had a nice career but like Sam, he was more of a great complimentary guy and not the driver you need against the Bruins.

This in a nutshell is Sam-moxey guy

"What changed because you used to suck before?"

Playing better under Granato, and seeing some success with younger players and having some optimism that things can be different going forward. It doesn't change the fact Sam Reinhart has not experienced any team success as measured by playoff appearances. He's probably tired of it , just like fans are.

  4. People in the media often times ask the same tired, stale, lazy questions. And, you know what, maybe they just have too many pressers and run out of decent questions. How many times can you ask someone after a win/or loss , "how do you feel after a win/loss?". Or, any one of the oft repeated questions. The whole thing is boring, and the players freaking hate it.

I heard a player in this video saying, too bad it doesn't mean anything because we sucked so bad until recently!

idk why, but for some reason the team quit on Kreuger, and I think that's obvious. We'd lose a game and he'd come out and say we have to do x y and z and next game team didn't do any of the three. If you're the coach, what do you do then?

For some reason they're doing what Granato tells them to do. Some of those things are the same things Kreuger said they had to do better. So honestly, I don't get the extreme difference other than the obvious, and that is they simply quit on him and Adams fails in not recognizing the need for a change sooner.

I think its because he had no credibility as much an anything. When things go bad for Scotty Bowman, they don't keep dropping and dropping. He makes changes and they get out of the rut. Krueger had a track record that showed he had no such ability and the players didn't see anything but the same old crap and they didn't believe.

I actually read this in Marty Biron’s voice.

  6. Very, very poor coach. I question how successful he would be at any level, given his pig-headed stubborness even when wrong. I'm glad I don't have to listen to players spout BS they undoubtedly gleaned from him. Patience (instead of presssure) always being one of the answers...you beat structure with structure (in other words outstructure people)....move the puck until you get the right shot.. don't force it.....

These pearls of wisdom led to a team that applied little to no pressure, played for one shot from the perimeter and then retreated back to the NZ like they were under assault from aliens. In addition, the habits players had the entire duration of RK such as not moving feet, not sealing the boards, not driving the net, not turning into the puck carrier and waving at them etc. makes me want to vomit, I could name many more.

I don't really care about him as a person, many great coaches were complete *****, but the stubborness part is a poor trait for an unsuccessful coach.

Bad coach is my vote and I wouldn't hire him to coach a Pee Wee team

  7. It would be dumb to ignore what he's done and has going on, he must be under consideration. Having said that, let's see what happens the rest of the way. Nothing has to be decided today by anyone running the club. Getting the hire right is nothing short of epic for the franchise right now.

I agree with this, the trade isn’t evidence he CANT do it, yet he doesn’t have any trades yet signifying he CAN, either. He hasn’t completed a trade or signing yet id say was “good” and one that noticeably improved the team

I think this is a very fair analysis of KA.

The part that seems to be pissing people off as I skim this thread is trading Lazar for Bjork. To me, these are just a couple of JAGs, the real deal is a second for Hall. One is 26 the other 24, perhaps the 26 year old is a little more useful and made the Bruins feel better.

I also feel like keeping Hall did nothing (he had to be moved once out of the lineup and was leaving). I have no idea if we had better offers, I don't think we were getting a one -no way, no how.

Both Lazar and Hall have been out of the lineup over the last several games and the team is playing better. Neither figures into the future plans.
