I forgot, he’s not “certainly playing injured” anymore, I guess. Tide’s turned

The central premise of the most prominent arguments on this board supposing we may need to trade JE is the belief he has “given up”.

I have no idea why that was sent to me, as Jack is my favorite player, and I believe he is the "franchise"

  2. Trying to measure fighting and its impact by using goals for/against in the next five minutes strikes me as almost complete hubris about the ability to measure things. The use of the tactic of being able to define and measure everything is becoming laughable to the point that the misuse is blatantly absurd. The example is about like looking to see the temperature outside and whether it was a good day or not.

  3. I just saw Casey M. is out of the lineup and on loan to the taxi squad. He seems to have improved, surprised by this. Must be he needs a day to off to rest and evaluate himself. BTW, Kyle Okposo must be Iron man, dude never needs a day off even at 33! These 20-21 year olds man, get tired easy.-Ralph Speak

He says a lot of nothing. I just listened to the interview and he said that Oloffson and Eichel need to find "synergy"... I laughed at that point because that isn't the issue but it sounds good so he says it.

RK_ We paradoxically need to find a pathway to the victorius outcome everyone desires. We have a roomful of guys who wish they were where they used to be when they thought they were where they are now.

People need to stop equating the Bills and Sabres.

In an NFL draft, teams are getting college players who can make an immediate impact. In the NHL, a lot of the draft picks will take 4+ years. You can change an NFL roster far quicker than an NHL one.

Also, T&K lucking into a good McBeane combo has nothing to do with them sucking at finding the right leadership for the Sabres. The Sabres STILL suck a decade after “oh where’s Perreault? I loved him! This is hockey heaven now.”

You'd better hope that they LUCK into another McBeane type hire, and they will, because they're the owners and they ain't going nowhere.

I’m starting to lose track of the complaints. If the problem is the head coach and we have more talent than the results show, then why would a head coach not want to come here?

OTOH, if the problem is the players and no one wants to come here and coach these dorks then why are we firing the head coach?

You seem to take offense to Sabres critiques. Any special reason? Why do you think so many of their players are underachieving so much this season? You think Krueger is doing the job? What's the reason the last 10 years they've missed the playoffs? Or are all the critiques off base, and you're satisfied? Just curious because like so many have said the biggest problem (coaching) appears pretty obvious to anyone I've talked to who knows hockey. But, by all means enlighten me if you think Kreuger isn't the biggest problem.

  7. I don't know what he is, and I wonder how he got the job in the first place. All I know from my 50+ years of playing and coaching hockey, is that what this team is trying to execute(if this his philosophy-and I have no reason to believe it's not) it will not work! It doesn't work anywhere, anytime in hockey. And, his BS is wearing thin with players too I believe. At first guys with a good line like he has sound good, refreshing. And then, when no success follows, players realize why should this guy have any credibility?

What is the likelihood anyone throws a reckless hit or tries to initiate a fight in order to wake up his teammates? You know, the kind of thing any other roster in the NHL would do when down 3-0 at home late in the 2nd and needing to send a message that the third period is going to be different.

I'm afraid that would be the final humiliation. We'll start a fight and end up with our guy leaking all over the ice. But, yeah I'd like to see someone get at least a little pissed.

They rank 10th because they’ve only played 17 games. For those teams that have 20-22 games it’s the equivalent of 60 to 62 goals which puts the Sabres in the bottom half of the league.  They probably will give up 5 or more today which will only move them down in the rankings.

    ps Goaltending is a problem

Without a doubt, you need goalies who make a difference once in awhile. This guy is just a sieve.

  10. The Ralph era is heading the way of the Rex Ryan era. Pegula's got bamboozled by a guy with a good line of BS. Let's hope they learn and get a real NHL guy in. What else can we do? The rest of the season you are going to see guys out there giving a half-assed effort when they're completely out of it. Just like the Rex ending with his defense laying down for the opponents. This is going to require a virtual redo from top to bottom, and a winning culture built-just like the Rex era. Sad
