briere is playing solid tonight... you'd think he might have lost a step, but the guy is money. the announcer just noted that the sabres are the #2 powerplay in the nhl...
great offensive series by the sabres... quick whistle though. roloson let that puck roll.. his glove wasn't even down on the ice. home team discount there
great offensive rush by max... but come on man... put your stick on the ice and poke check the puck from the defender...
Now the sabres are on the power play with3 minutes remaining.
well, i'd rather have 18000 leave disapointed than 10500 leave happy if the reverse happened... the place was not going to sell out had the sabres lost to the habs 2-0 on thursday. w
1 period late on this thread... apparently the sabres were 1 period late showing up to the arena too. its 4-0 sharks. noronen has already been pulled, however biron is pulling a shutout so far. Not much to report except the sabres are caught up at the border... they should be at the arena within the hour to start competing.
well the nhl still has to show that its screwed up somehow...
regulation win--2 points
overtime win--2 points
regulation loss--0 points
overtime loss--0 points
shootout win--2 points
shootout loss--1 point
it makes sense.
f---ing awesome game... this was the game of the year... huge statement coming back from 0-2 and winning it on the road... GREAT GREAT GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FAST start by the sabres... why are the canadiens in white and the sabres in black if its regulation for the home team to wear dark now? I see that its their 3rd jersey, but i didn't realize that a team could wear white at home anymore. (or is this the old, its buffalo or a canadian team, so we'll make an exception clause)
The only hockey arenas i've been to have been the one that the quebec nordiques played in, the maple leaf gardens, boston gardens, MSG, the aud, HSBC, and the BC arena in rochester. Out of all of them, i still say the aud is my favorite.
that's what i read from the buffalo news article. Dumont's probably done for most of the season (i'm reading into ruff's comments) and briere is probably out till christmas (which is ok, considering how the rest of the team has played).
