it was great... The play went back and forth all night long. Hard hitting, great goaltending (miller let in some softies), OT drama, Sydney michael vick Crosby got shut out. GREAT GREAT victory for a team playing its 4th game in 6 nights. 3-1-0 for the sabres. I'm starting to get that feeling.

end of 1st period thoughts lydman is the weekest link... goodbye. That was a goal scored by vanek. Hasek tried to cover but the puck clearly went across the line, from the over-the-net camera angle. The whistle had blown. I'm pretty dissapointed that the refs had the quick whistle and that rick and jim didn't mention the goof. Hopefully they'll come out flying on the rest of this PP... the sabres have gotten off a bunch of shots, but still look really flat in the defensive zone. Again, get well kalinin... Lydman sucks and we need you back!
