Hope they can win tonight after the loss last week and a long layoff. This homestand will say a lot about the character of the team and the direction they're going to take in making a push to the playoffs. Plus, as an added bonus, we won't be interrupted by the silly fodder of Ralph Wilson lead press conferences (although they have been quite entertaining!!) GO SABRES
conversely, had miller been as streaky and odd as biron has been for the past 8 years, we'd be callling for ryan's head. either way, it was a bad goal that the sabres have to make up for in the 2nd period
after listening to crappy everclear bills as the warm up, its time for the rolling sabres stones.
oops... 1-0 quickly forida. neuwendyke (sp) scored on miller
i agree that lydman has improved his game greatly since the beginning of the season. i remember scratching my head wondering what darcy was thinking, but now the guy is solid if anything. as for the game?? 4-1 buffalo... miller's shutout was spoiled with about 5 minutes to go. great win coming off the back to back effort, a crappy first period, and slanted officiating. sabres are sitting pretty only a couple back from ottawa.
i think he can only make the team if there's an injury before the olympics start. as for wearing him out?? i'm in agreement that he'll be worn out for the playoffs... the olympic snub is a blessing in disguise for the sabres and miller. if you want evidence, look at the 1998 games... who were the most tired sabres in the stanley cup finals?? i'd vote for shmelik, hasek, and satan... all olympians.
scoooooooooooooooores!! vanek powers to the net and jams it home. 2-0
in response to the miller saves, he's been all over making saves. always in position, cool, calm, and collected.
i love the on ice mics by the way. lots of f bombs tonight
for those of you who didn't get to see the game, it was a GREAT game. also, tsn was giving a lot of love to the sabres, ala esbn on the pats. the sabres play the pens on friday on tsn too... too bad i'll be driving back home.
