  1. I specifically posted on the passing, on the poor power play. I didn't mention coaching, true. But as Jeff Daniel's character says: "The first step in solving any problem is recognizing there is one." "Houston, we have a problem. We are venting something due to coaching. Yep, it's points"
  2. I have to concur. Okposo and Girgs were most likely kept on for leadership. Well, can someone explain to us where that leadership is? Serious question. I cannot say Granato approved or disapproved of those signings, so I defer on that. But the roster as a whole has not improved with any notice from last season. Constantly playing from behind or in Alamo mode. No killer instinct. Coaching matters. I'm now firmly entrenched in the Granato and staff need to go camp.
  3. No one is "Freaking Out". I'm merely assessing Granato and staffs record to date. They show a flat line in the only category that accounts, consistency. Playing .500 seasonal hockey is not an acceptable bar. The talent is there, we've seen it. They lack, where is that occurring? As I said, coaching imho.
  4. Prove me wrong. Show me where the improvement is. PK? Woop-De-Doo. PK doesn't mean jack if you can't find consistency in other aspects of the game. That is proven by this very version of Sabres. So then, what is the evidence this coaching staff can get this team to the playoffs?
  5. If the bar is to show improvement, this team has failed. The passing is beyond atrocious, it's livid. The umbrella set up in the O zone is utter futility. The power play is a danger, to themselves. The players have shown little to non-existent fire, passion, drive, in their game play. There is no sugar coating this. The team is rudderless, record be damned. There is simply to much talent, now with experience, to see the conststent inconsistency. That is coaching, pure and simple. This coaching staff is a failure, point blank. The change needs to happen now, while there is still a season to salvage for a playoff spot. IMHO.
  6. The time unfortunately was this past off season. Now I understand a deal may not have been there, but every game we delay is not helping any. I am now in the official REPLACE GRANATO and his staff camp. This cannot continue.
  7. I disagree, respectfully. They did it, therefore, they are capable of it. If Granato says last season was offense training, and he says this season is defense training, yet Adams says the goal is the playoffs, then the problem is Granato. Clearly the team is better at offense than defense. Granato needs to go imho. I know we all love the "Meatballs" affection, but let's be completely honest here. There is an abundance of talent on this team, they are not being coached well if you look at the play on the ice. I mean, cone on now, thos is ridiculous, no net front presence, panic passing, panic when pressured, constant loss of puck control. And the list goes on. Coaching at some point, matters.
  8. Yes, there probably is a better coach out there. The question is, do we know who that is, are they available and do they enjoy pickle ball in senior communities after 8pm?
  9. We shouldn't have to rely on bounces every night. The team is poorly coached or they lack the skill. Judging by the end of last seadon, I'm leaning poorly coached.
  10. Sometimes your the bug, sometimes your the.....HULK SMASH!!!!! COME ON BOYS, PULL YOUR HEADS OUT OF YOUR CORNHOLIOS, LETS DO THIS!!!!!
  11. He goes to the net from between the dots a lot. The family next to us were commenting on it. Seems they've noticed he's always moving to the net. I have to admit, they weren't entirely incorrect, a lot of arena oh's and ah's when he was in the O zone.
  12. She did treat me to section 218, center ice last night. She deserves the dinner. But......I am holding out on the shoes demand until the ankle and knee heal from tripping over the other 99 pairs in the room.....
  13. I think it's a move that was in the plans all along. Same with Benson? I think so. We have forward depth flowing out the wazoo, our d depth, at least for this season, appears set. I have to believe Kulich and a couple others get the call up nod ahead of both Benson and Savoie. Here's to hoping the young man maximizes his time to further his development and not take it as a feeling down moment.
  14. I might be late to this one. Taking the wife to salvitores for her b day. 6pm dinner res. But, Go Sabres!!!
  15. Doesn't he want a longterm deal? Can he stay healthy?
  16. There is always a team willing to take a look on a goal scorer. Might be a tad bit early yet in to the season for one of those teams to step forward, but I expect Olofsson to be gone by the end of 2023. Adams may have to eat a bit of salary in order to sweeten the pot, and it's only for this season. But I can't see Olofsson constantly sitting until the deadline. Maybe Adams uses him in a package to acquire a player, maybe he just gets a pick, hard to gage where Adams falls on this since he keeps info so tight to the vest. As for Krebs and Jost, I'm not as nearly keen on Krebs as I was last season. Of course, this is based on the "what have you done for me lately" mindset, but as of right now, I have 0 issues with Krebs being included or stand alone in a trade. This organization has a plethora of young skilled forwards in its pipeline. Someone posted about a Lawson Crouse type deal, ummmm, yes please. This team needs a bolstering of size. Or, conversely, it could use a bolstering of puck control, because what I witnessed last night at the game in person, was a display of "blind passing, bad passing and passing in to your teammates skates" that boggled not just my brain, but at the end of the 2nd there, the entire arena gasped in disbelief at just how bad they are at passing. Maybe target a player with size to protect the puck and has decent passing skills, it couldn't hurt none.....imho.
  17. That was an awesome time!!!! So, apparently some of the 200 crowd dont like it when you scream "YOU SUCK REF". I wish the fans would get on to more, I was the loud boo bird on the refs, they sucked.
  18. Levi was awesome!!! Great win.... I'm going to wait in traffic now, then get home and nap time lol
  19. Hey, I am here and we are winning 😀 I'm going to start a "send scottysabres to all the home games" gofundme 🤣
  20. I'm right below the cameras on penalty box side, and I mean right below them, row 5.
  21. Haha, under intense bribery, the daughter broke and told me the section I'll be sitting in tonight. 218. I take it they're good seats because she said she's jelly, as she sat their eating the freshly made bacon, eggs, hashbrowns with toast bribe 😉 I'm the only male in a house full of brilliant women. Dad keeps an assortment of tools on hand to get the info, knowing their weakness', in her case, breakfast 😀, is the key to getting them to talk. Like a kitchen sniper, I setup the morning ambush and bullseye'd it with the first Crack of an egg, ya, Dad may be getting older, but he's still in the game 🤣
  22. I'll let ya know what seats I'm in once the wife tells me. Somehow, the future son in law got involved in getting the tix, he and my older step daughter are fanatics like myself. So I overheard center ice, but....shrugs, I'll find out when I get there I guess. I just want a victory, and ya, if they score 8, 9, 14, it won't hurt my feelings none 😉
