Mu sister has it currently.  Vaccinated, and it doesn’t seem to be a severe.  She was exposed by someone she works with that got sick and wouldn’t get tested until she was forced to.

    We are a selfish society.

my wife's company is currently having a small outbreak when 3 people went to work sick and all of them have covid, 2 of them were unvax.

my wife got tested today because her company required it, but its too soon. its only been 1 day. she has another appointment friday night.

however our thanksgiving is screwed. we had a hotel booked to see my family and had to cancel it and cant get a refund. additionally, i had to get whole foods delivered because we didnt have any food for thanksgiving for us since we were expecting to go somewhere. it cost me an arm and a leg.

its really irritating that basically we lost out on about 250 dollars because a couple of jagoffs dont know not to go to work when sick? come on, i told my wife to give them our hotel bill

Or he was reporting the only information he had.

This is exactly the point I am making.  You assume an agenda where it may be the only info he was getting.

Honestly, journalists have earned this reputation as not necessarily caring about the truth as much as getting there first and they dont care if their being incorrect hurts people

I haven't considered journalists an honorable profession in a very lomg time

It's not about caring what the media thinks. He is the GM of the team and the voice of it. He didn't handle his statements with the poise or care of a professional; he left a star player out to dry and treated him like a high school girlfriend in a public breakup. That's not how good, professional organizations act. At least his presser today was better.

I'm not going to call him spoiled for using the avenues he had to his disposal to do what's best for him. When he signed his contracts I'm sure the Sabres promised him we'd be competitive and they failed to live up to that billing. Athletes don't have an out-clause for when the employer doesn't live up to their side of a bargain so this is what happens. If the Sabres did their job he'd still be here.

I dont disagree that the sabres have done almost nothing right in many, many years. I 100% agree with it, but jack was the captain. He didnt act like it.

It just rubs me the wrong way. In my opinion, He never seemed mature enough.  I of course could be completely incorrect, but from the outside looking in, i just see a spoiled kid that took his ball and went home because things didnt go his way

No, you really do wish he was on a terrible team.   Try to pass it off as a joke if you want, but it's pretty obvious.  Don't be so sour.

I definitely wished he went to a bad team. I was serious about that.

I was joking about the gambling thing. I wouldn't really wish that on anyone.

I thought you were griefing me about the gambling comment.   You are definitely correct about the bad team thing. Im glad he is gone, i was pretty sick of the silliness

I got a bit lightheaded for the first 12 hours. Felt perfectly fine the next 12 hours. Rounded it out with waking up with cold sweats 36 hours out.

Overall was milder compared to the original 2 doses

I had nothing on the first shot, just sore arm. The second i had mild cold for a few days. This was way worse

anyone here gotten the booster? Seeing reports saying to expect similar side effects from the 2nd dose (soreness, headache, fever) within 24 hours. If i am remembering right it lasted around 36-48 for me. Curious if that is the expected case still

I got the booster and was sick as i ever have been my entire life. However, the 2nd day after, it was just a really bad headache.

I will be glad i got the booster, but i was cursing it right after

He's not holding out, he's injured?

If that's true we should 100% be retaining that salary for the draft picks.  (Yes I have no problem spending other people's $.)

C'mon, like we don't need all the draft capital we can get our hands on?

Yes, but the injury could have been repaired a while ago is what im saying

Except that you haven't provided any answers, or facts, or logic -- just descriptions of your general sense of things.

I agree that going around further on this is pointless.  All I will say is that calling someone a racist is a serious charge of a major character flaw, and that too many people casually throw it around like they're flipping a quarter into a wishing well.

Im not saying it is happening here, but it seems many times people will just call someone a racist because generally people will argue that point instead of the point at hand. Mostly because people dont want to be called a racist.

It makes it easier to "win" an argument  because it forces the accused to start fighting 2 fronts

Again, im not saying that was the persons intent, but it seems to happen far too often
