    Levi is gifted athletically.

He needs to work on positioning and rebound control.

Far too often he gets caught too deep in his net, or over persues the puck taking him out of position.

Teams are starting to pick up on this.  We saw it in the Washington game and he'll continue to get exploited until he adjusts.

Playing once a week will stunt his development.   He needs to be "the guy" down in Roch where he'll progress much faster.

He should be "the guy" in blue & gold. He's our best. He will learn more quickly up here, all while giving the Sabres the best chance to win.

Cozens was out of gas, as they all were.  They used it all trying to score.  Hence a 2 on 1 and Levi blew it.  Power correctly took away the pass.  Levi incorrectly did not play the shooter and was out of position and late.   A rookie in the NHL.

Wrong about Power. Watch the reply. He actually overcommitted towards Strome right before he was about to shoot, leaving Milano open, and Levi was correctly taking him into account.

Tuch is possibly the most irrelevant core player.

Not seeing a big improvement from last year in Power.

    Cozens needs Quinn back.

TT does more toe dragging than scoring.

    Clifton is a fail.

UPL is so bad that people cling to single game moments of positivity as proof he is not bad.

PP sucks. The bumper is stupid.

Krebs is looking like he will be in Europe soon.

KO skates like he’s using a Walker.

    Dahlin is awesome.

Mitts is becoming the number one center.

I'm more optimistic in some regards, but...

We need to move on from UPL. Do we have any other G prospects in our system? Give someone else a chance; UPL is fundamentally flawed

  4. I rewatched highlights from the game. The alarming elements of UPL's game that I've mentioned noticing before (reflexes, balance, body control, recovery) all seemed to be vastly improved. He is still young enough that he could figure these things out. I'm sure working next to Levi in camp lit a fire under him, and showed him first-hand what a freakishly naturally talented goaltender looks like, up close.

Another test will be how he can handles breakaways/shootouts. As I said before, I'd be thrilled if he completely overcomes my expectations of him.

Hopefully those who were ready to step off the ledge on Friday have taken a big step back

win the next one, back to .500.  Not great but certainly not a disaster of a start to the season

It's almost as if you can't know the trajectory of an entire season (or a particular player) based off of a handful of games.

    Call me crazy...

6K played a pretty good game. I've been saying it all summer, and I'll say it again, he'll get over thirty games and have a winning record. Levi and 6K will be our goalies for the next few years.

You have been consistent in your message.  I hope you end up being correct.  I’ve been critical of this plan.

I don't think UPL has NHL-level reflexes or body control/balance. I will happily be proved wrong.
