I’m try to be more pragmatic. The fact is these discussions are still pertinent even though the deal is past tense. In order to appraise the state of our current team, one must take inventory of past moves made. It’s very important. So “whining” about it. Yeah I get that. But assessing our current managements abilities to assess and make right moves? It’s a big deal right now.

Going back to the Briere/Drury fiasco, management has committed non stop blunders since. You have to, to be this bad for this long. Other teams have started rebuilds later and are contenders in a way shorter time.

Here is some perspective. My oldest is going to graduate next year. Unless one of our teams does something next year which is unlikely, he would of gone from 1st grade to Graduation never seeing either Buffalo major sports team with a playoff game/series, let alone a championship. I would imagine we have a lost generation. That is astonishingly bad. We must have the worst sports teams of all time.

He will give Phil time. Probably at least half the year next year before we even begin to think that.

You have virtually a 50% chance to make the playoffs...now multiply this by what might be ten...how is it even possible. The Bills and Sabres may go out of this decade with 3 playoff appearances and no wins between them. That is on a level of odds that is almost impossible. It is like we make being bad a science.

Giving ROR and Kane the boot was a disastrous move by JBots. I have no confidence in any of them right now.

Botterill is fine. This is a long term rebuild. I’m sure they realize this is going to take 5 years. Botterill is building a contender by building hockey players not primarily by trading for them.

Florida has underachieved and is twice the team we are. The better team won. I actually think we will be late comers to the Hughes sweepstakes. Looking at the schedule I don’t see more than 2 wins in the next 10 games or so. This team is 2-3 years away from considering playoffs. A lot of work ahead. This roster needs a 50% turnover. I think there is a good chance of going 10 years of no playoffs.

Honestly guys I have no words. I’ve been a fan since the 70’s and this is a new low. I have never seen a more softer team in my life in all of hockey ever.
