We’re taking this TDG in brave new directions. There was Ronning, Jyrki Lumme, and one of the Courtnalls.

He left AHL rebounds in an NHL world. And at other times, his defenders blocked the shot, but being a small goalie he was far out to cut off the angle, and the blocked rebound went to an angle he couldn't cover and that his defenders couldn't get to quickly enough. He made a few very good reflex saves.

Reflecting on the way home… I hate to break it to us… but maybe the Sabres aren’t all that good. I also am not enough of an extrovert to get a “Fire Sheevyn” chant going amongst a bunch of Kraken-loving strangers.

The worst thing for the Sabres is a Bills championship. It’d just allow Darth Pegulas to stay EEE and Adams another 5 years. But of the remaining teams, I hope the Bills win out.

This Kraken lineup is better with Dunn back in the lineup. Everything else falls into place.

Seriously, could this team not give up a response goal? Or not give up two opposition goals within 2 minutes? They collapse so readily after an event. Remove those type of goals and they’re probably still a final wild card spot.

They caught the Kraken in a bad line change on the PP and had a 5-on-3 zone entry and couldn’t even cleanly enter the zone.

They’re serving the Double Mountain Fa La La La Winter Ale. Maybe that will wake up the Sabres in the 2nd. Glad JJP got back later in the 1st after missing a shift or two.

It is pretty sad that even after all these years, any decent energy line grinder (like a Tanev) immediately generates a quality scoring chance or goal against this team.

They also played Khachaturian’s Sabre Dance on the organ early on.

Not from my vantage point. I believe officially the bullocks Thunder franchise took the title with them.

I think the Sabres 2 blocked shots already outdoes the last matchup.
