Okposo Buyout possible...Can anyone tell me if his signing bonus was paid for this coming season? I cant find that anywhere. I think we may see an Okposo buyout tomorrow. The reason, if he is not due a signing bonus the buyout would be 1m over 6 years. With the talk of an internal cap, that would free up 5m actual dollar to spend. This would still be a salary cap hit of 4m/5m/2m over the next 3 years, but if they are not spending to the salary cap this can be absorbed. Please let me know if I'm all wet on this! Let me know what you would do with that 5m of actual cash to spend on players.

Ryan carries less cap and years. The fear with Ryan is in 2 years he will be a Flyer. Has spoken publicly about his desire to play there. That said moving Ryan may not be easy for Murray. Wow, when you put it that way.....maybe we have the better player. Lets see what the new team attitude brings.

The way I look at it is when you trade a player who is going to be a UFA at a trade deadline, your looking for draft picks. Any baggage that accompanies that draft pick is a cap dump or damaged goods. I do agree with you on players we have brought in used our picks. We buy a lot of damaged goods (hidden damage). The verdict is still out on Hodgson's character. Gillis sure had a lot to say about that one. Time will tell if he is blown smoke or if there is fire!

Apuszczalowski Bernier was a throw in on the Campbell trade. The 1st round draft pick was the prize (Ennis).
