Good thing we benched Leino all game/OT/Shoot-out. I hope he learnt his lesson... i struggle to understand that call, benching him for that long is a big message

At what point does Leino get the nod in the shootout? If this goes to round 5/6 do you play him? Or do you keep sitting him?

I don't think Leino can have done something that bad that he should be sat for 2 periods. If he was traded he wouldn;t be allowed on the sabres bench. RR is just being weird

Agreed, big rebound. But a turn over at that point means everyone is out of position - you blame the guy who gave the puck away on that one

He is their future goalie. He is 23 and 6'6', he will be really really good. ATM he is a bit inconsistent game-to-game

Trading Snieds would give them $8 million (compared to $9.3 with lou) to play with, that would be enough to be able to make another move without being bent over a barrel. Also you can go 10% over the cap in the offseason Sedin, Sedin, Booth, Burrows, Kesler gives them 5/top 6. Bottom 6 players can be had fairly cheaply and I presume they ahve some prospect who is about reading to fill in

Yes he has played really well. I'm hoping he signs a 3/4 year extension at this point, and that means Ott signs a 2/3 year extension next year. These guys are good ones to have on your team. I'm intrigued what has made him play so well this year, i hope it is more than just a contract

True. But also, all their problems could be solved if they just traded one of their goalies away

Ray Shero is a good GM, but don't underestimate the power of having the two best players on your roster, not to mention the fact this also helps them get trades (i.e. Crosby is probably a huge reason Iggy chose them)

Booth would be the one they would love to trade. Ballard would be a close second. Surprisingly, Kesler would probably be third
