I'm still thinking back to Jack's 2 on 1 with Sheary, where he got the puck to him but it was deflected and late because of that. Jack could have easily scored from there with his shot. It always takes him a month or two to start shooting the puck for some reason. Shoot Jack! Your shot is our best offensive weapon while you're on the ice!

Eichel's shot on the PP hits enough that teams have to account for it, and in theory opens up the other side of the ice. If only we had a nifty left shot defenseman to stick over in that space

I think Hutton and our team's play gives us a better chance than we may have had in the past. I really did like this period, most of them are dialed in.

I have to ask, is what Kyle did tonight more egregious than Berglund last game? And would Kyle ever get healthy scratched for it? Not trying to jump on Kyle, but I do wonder if Phil would be consistent in situations like this.

Idea: if a team takes a penalty with less than 2 minutes left in a period, the other team can choose to start the PP in the 2nd and play the rest of the period at ES. Also, any time the teams come out in a PP/PK, start the period in the killing team's zone.

Weird to say in a 2-0 game, but we're just better than them tonight. It's a shame that some dumb penalties and bad special teams make it feel over already. Cut this lead boys!

Not sure I agree with Ray. They were stuck on the outside, and barely controlling the play out there. It would have been useless/foolish to just flail it at the net.
