  1. If the AHL West ever happens I think Alaska will soon enough be out. Don't think they would be so great as an Eastern team. Way harder conference.
  2. The league has become much like the AHL sadly. All focused on development. Was a different league back then when cities like Johnstown were the norm. Now they try to go bigger and better for everything. People gave the Afrs a lot of crap because the arena went to hell. The team was generally good. You can tell they were focused on the team. At the end of the day hockey always was and will be the bread and butter for that arena making money. Its too small to get many acts here. Its, its own worst enemy. The problem with these owners is they are too busy sextifying the arena. While the bar wasn't bad and has decent food the hockey team was a joke. They know nothing about hockey and had no hockey people. They canned Nichols. Dwight Mullins was a joke. He was Malcolm Cameron except Cameron could recruit he just couldn't recruit. Wish they would have sols the team. Would have allowed them to focus on thw arena and would have changed the roster. Only team in the AHL players could go up to would be Rochester now if they aren't 2 way with Rochester or Sabres property they can go to any other AHL team.
  3. Highly doubt the sheep would be interested in watching snoozefest ECHL Hockey and I cant imagine people in this town liking losing a home game. But I did read something in Sunday's paper about a preseason game maybe between the Jackals and Americans. Man if the Amerks don't roll something is wrong. Theres also a lot of promises about coaches and system and trainers and resources. Cant forget "famous alumni" whoever that would be. I just hope they get us a big name head coach. Still on the CRAIG RIVET bandwagon.
  4. Interesting. Not sure it will make our Jackals any better because the guys owning the team don't have much of an idea about hockey. Yes there was a rumor Pegula would buy the team/arena. That was back in 2012. Wish it was true. It would bring some longer term stability. I wonder if we will see Tuzzolino here as he spent much of last year with the Amerks. The jersey has looked better, they have changed it so many times. It looked way better 2 years ago, have no idea what the new owners were thinking, even the font on these ones look cheap. I hope the team is watchable. Last years team was as bad as the Sabes, a head to head may have been interesting. Lol We weren't supposed to have Sabres prospects that's why. The team was really weak though. They had very little ECHL talent and the coach was awful. It didn't help the assistant was a guy who has seen nothing beyond D3 Hockey and was only committed to home games. I wish Craig Rivet would come back to coach. No idea who will be the coach but i'll bet money it's not Dwight Mullins. The Sabres want one of their guys or input anyway, that wont help Dwight.
  5. I hope that was a joke. There was a list once upon a time that Buffalo was the 2nd poorest city in the country behind Detroit. Now thats gotta be pure garbage, Cockchester has a bunch of cokeheads, I know this because for some reason those druggies all invade my city. Not to mention in other news Kodak is in deep ######. But for what it's worth I just don't see him signing, theres teams with more cap room and they can throw more cash at him. If that teams a winner he would likely go. Can't blame him this team is a long ways away from competing.
  6. Here are some more jokes: NEW New York Law:Beware! The New York Highway Patrol are cracking down on speeders heading towards and into the city of Buffalo. For the first offense, they give you two Buffalo Bills tickets. If you get stopped a second time, they make you use them. Q: What do you call 47 millionaires sitting around a TV watching the Super Bowl? A: The Buffalo Bills Q: What do the Buffalo Bills and Billy Graham have in common? A: They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ." Q: How do you keep a Buffalo Bill out of your yard? A: Put up a goal post. Q: What do you call a Buffalo Bill with a Super Bowl ring? A: A thief. Q: What's the difference between the Buffalo Bill and the dollar bill? A: You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill. Q: How many Buffalo Bills does it take to win a Super Bowl? A: Nobody knows and we may never find out! Q: What do the Bills and possums have in common? A: Both play dead at home and get killed on the road!
  7. Meant to say the 90's* as I was born in 88. Made a typo and didn't check back on it. In the minority but I like Fitz. It's not his fault he is throwing to very little talent and that the defense is just absolute garbage.
  8. No. But they have done the winning that matters the last decade. When I grew up in the 80's outside of 96 they were nothing special.
  9. Lol: http://wgr550.com/Cuomo-Seeks-Millions-for-Bills-to-Stay-in-Town/12022085 http://wgr550.com/Higgins-Asks-For-New-Blackout-Rules/12040355 I have big issues with the first one. The state throwing away all this money while they are already severely in debt?
  10. Ralph needs to die and they need to find a new owner to be lined up and ready. It would help if Ralphie wasn't such a cheapskate. Can't take that money and use it while in his grave....
  11. Didnt see the game you are talking about but on Touchdowns I know it's where the ball is, not your feet or body, just the ball. Either they royally goofed up or football rules in general are inconsistent. That was unfortunate. one play literally changed a franchise, I don't think it relates to all 12 years after that but a lot of guys like Wade got a crappy deal from it.
  12. That and why was house cleaned all because of 1 play?
  13. The Packers lost, i'm beyond depressed. Been a diehard my whole life. Living in this stupid state with the Giants fans. YUCK. Go Niners...
  14. Gotta give the Niners credit, never saw that coming. Saw an interesting special yesterday on CBS called "They Call This the Playoffs" Showed great highlights of key moments. They showed the play against tennessee, for the first time in my life I am convinced that was forward, never was sure until I saw it on this show
  15. Could have quoted Joe Bowen(Leafs broadcaster) if there was a goal mentioned somewhere in there, lol.
  16. Hope the proposed realignment doesnt happen. Was hearing they are thinking of the idea to expand how many guys an organization can have under contract as a whole. Would like to see it increase.
  17. I always thought they talked about the Sabres more because Hockey season is longer to be honest and since the Sabres games were on there I figured they liked them more so to speak.
  18. Sully comes across as a bitter cranky old man more often then not. I love the times he just leaves the conversation. The guy does make for some interesting radio though, i'll give him that. Knowing college Bball isn't a skill. It's mostly the same suspects every year and the game was way better 15-20 years ago. Can't leave out the fact Syracuse almost never leaves NYS until January. :P
  19. Horse racing is all he knows! Maybe he can help me win a Trifecta for the Derby this year! LOL. I actually like Schopp despite his arrogance. Bulldog sort of just sounds like he's along for the ride and nothing else.
  20. I was hoping the morning show would get scrapped, or at the very least that Jeremy white could be shown the door. :flirt:
  21. I actually like the move to WGR if it means Brent Axe won't be doing the Bills Postgame Show anymore
  22. Late to the party here but I will admit the Bills are not my favorite NFL team but they are my favorite AFC team and I see just about every game. They went into this year as uncertain as uncertain could get and I think after the season I left with myself thinking they took a step forward and you know where the holes are now. The defense has a ton of holes but first and foremost they do not have the personel to play a 3-4. Nixk Barnett was the best player on this defense and I liked somje of the leadership he brought to the table. The hardest thing to accept about this team was the lack of depth and overall talent. They played hard together for much of the season but they just don't have the depth and skill to compete for a full 16 game season right now. There were things to like such as Fred Jackson, Fitzpatrick, Stevie Johnson and the early season play of George Wilson. I feel like i'm in a minority group of people who like Fitzpatrick and think he could be capable if he had a team around him. The guy isn't great but he might just be the Bills best QB since Flutie. I don';t even wanna mention Bledsoe. Hate that guy with a passion. Imagine if Fitzpatrick got to play on the bills in the earlier part of the 2000's when they had a defense and thats all they had? They probably could have done some things or atleast reached the playoffs. As for Stevie...one could say the guy is talented but my god he may just be the most selfish player in the NFL. He has a box of rocks in his head, he doesn't get it. I admit I have no idea what I want to happen with that mess. He drops some of the easiest passes too. I guess thats two things I find negative about him. My wish would be for the Bills to draft a guy like justin Blackmon from Oklahoma State. Freddy Jackson...what can be said? The guy was the best RB in the league when he was out there. I think he was on pace for like a 2,000 yard season and he was catching a lot of passes. I think that is the Wildcard thought of the offseason. How would this team have finished up had he stayed healthy? The Bills have been worse off. I know they didn't win but for the majority of the season I was entertained. Which is a far cry from getting the NFL's worst game of the week that we had grown accustomed to.
  23. Cheap beer is never good. But then again I am a bit of a beer snob, lol. Cheapest thing i'll touch is a bud light and i only do that when i plan on getting wasted. As for Cigars i'm down to try anything unless it's one of those stupid friiuit flavored ones like this cheap dude from PA I know gets and had me try once. As for the original topic at hand my favorite cigar to date has been Romeo and Juliets. I have had a Cuban before and wasn't impressed, granted it was purchased on a cruise trip at one of the stops so that probably could explain why. I'm fairly new to the Cigar game, well i've been smoking for a couple years but like i said it's mostly Romeo and juliets. I see a lot of interesting brands being posted in this thread. I'm willing to try any brand of cigar at least once so my open question to anyone having posted in this thread already what are some of the best brands to try? I know it's only January but never too early to think ahead for the spring/summer months. Browns is okay, thats where I generally get my smokes from. Sometimes I venture my way down to PA though, the great perk of living right on the boarder.
