They should have went with 13 forwards, 7 defenders and 3 goaltenders until the goaltending situations settled around the league. One of the things that Marek and Friedman were discussing on an old episode of 32 Thoughts was a possible change in the next CBA that might gain traction is the idea of teams having 24 roster spots with the 24th spot going to a designated third goalie. The organization would have the ability to move that goalie back and forth to AHL without subjecting them to waivers

The drop off from Dennis Gilbert or Jacob Bryson to Ryan Johnson is a hell of a lot less than UPL/Levi to Felix Sandstrom

This is my biggest concern about firing Adams. GM Jerry Forton. Benson wasn’t even on His Radar until the analytics department forced Benson to the front of the line. Jason Nightengale listens to the analytics department because he knows they make him better at his job The analytics department will stay for Adams or Karmanos, but not for Forton.
