DeBrusk asks Boston for a trade? Any interest?
Brawndo replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
More from 32 Thoughts 7. The Bruins have Anton Blidh injured, Brad Marchand suspended and multiple COVID-19 cases at AHL Providence making call-ups impossible. Coach Bruce Cassidy is in protocol, too. Jake DeBrusk asked for a trade -- something also investigated last summer -- and Boston would like to accommodate it, but their unstable roster situation makes things trickier. St. Louis has been a rumoured destination for a while, for example, but there’s a lot of interest. This is a personal brainstorm, but I wonder if there’s a fit with Seattle in a Mason Appleton-type move. Appleton found a niche in Winnipeg last season, but it’s been harder with the Kraken. DeBrusk will be a restricted free agent with arbitration rights and a qualifying offer just above $4 million. 8. Appleton scored his first two goals of the season Monday in a 7-4 win over Buffalo. Another name to watch. -
From 32 Thoughts 13. There are hard feelings between Matt Murray and the Senators. Murray clearly feels he is a scapegoat, with injuries and illness preventing him from being at full-strength. Ottawa, not performing as well as hoped, feels it's been patient enough and the results aren’t there. It doesn’t sound like there were many trade talks prior to the waiver move, and we’ll see if there’s any fit while Murray tries to get his game back at AHL Belleville. Buffalo makes the most sense, but will want salary retention or some other sweetener. The Sabres are definitely looking for an upgrade. Wondered if Toronto would consider it, but when you look at their cap situation -- even Murray at 50 per cent doesn’t really work for them.

Troy Stecher for Owen Power perhaps?

These are the 21 year old Seasons for Hedman, Karlsson and Hamilton. Hedman was the only one to turn 21 during the season.

Here are some basic fancy stats to tell what type of seasons these three had in their Fourth Seasons in the league. Karlsson and Hedman’s Fourth Year we’re during the Lockout Shorten Season By April of 2023, I would make a decision on His Future with the team

After Murray scored last night, Cozens immediately retrieved the puck and tossed it to one of the trainers. Reinhart used to do that for teammates as well

At least initially, I wouldn’t split up Quinn and Peterka when they come to the Sabres. There is going to be a learning curve as well as periods of struggle for all the players coming up to the NHL, keeping two of them together would possibly help with this, given Their Chemistry in Rochester.
