  1. Except for clearing the crease and being a great teammate and playing as a 6th D-man.

Maybe he's a great teammate, but I do remember him whining about the tank crowd last year. He does play as a 6th d man, but not well or anything :)

And Iv seen him clear a crease a few times in his career, I'll give you that much

  2. What I'm saying is, by eschewing Gay for Cundiff, whose touchback percentage is not good (see link below), the Bills are demonstrating that it's not important to them.

I would argue having two kickers period says that kickoff length is clearly important to them. I see your point but disagree. Plus we don't know what cundiff was told to do on previous teams. The links not working but also his stats may be be skewed with years pre-kickoff yard change.

But again, I don't think you can argue a team that has used kickoff specialists, and still has two kickers, doesn't think having a good kickoff kicker is valuable. I think that's pretty clear. Also, it's clearly an important stat, so it would be way more concerning if the bills didn't value it. Starting field position is extremely valuable, and don't see the argument against that. A guaranteed touchback is guaranteeing the other team starting at the 20

  3. Apparently it's not that important after all.

How do you figure? Isn't cundiff still our second kicker. I think this is more of putting carpenter on notice.

And come on, touch backs aren't important? You should look up average return yards and kickoff opportunities. Bills have ranked pretty high.
