    Sabres interested in Iginla. Unlikely he'll sign here but you never know. #Daddywarbucks Maybe Iggy would prefer to be the Captain on a team like in CGY. If Regehr spoke highly of ownership it's possible the interest is mutual. Wish List: Sign Iginla. 3 years 18 million. Sign Clowe. 3 years 7 million. Trade Vanek and Stafford for Evander Kane and Dustin Byfuglien. Stafford and Byfuglien both need a change of scenery. WPG gets a consistent goal scorer. E. Kane is a young Iginla clone IMO. Iggy would help lead this team and Kane would really develop into a great player here.

The free agent center, who was bought out by the Philadelphia Flyers, tells The Buffalo News he's had contract chats with Buffalo. "We are talking to about eight teams," Briere said in a text. "Sabres one of them." The 35-year-old had six goals and 16 points in 34 games last season. He was set to have a salary cap hit of $6.5 million for the next two seasons, but the Flyers used a compliance buyout and made him a free agent. The former Buffalo co-captain helped lead the Sabres to the Eastern Conference finals in 2005-06 and '06-07.
