Sounds like he cribbed the same beat that Mariah Carey's producer did for "Fantasy." I can't recall offhand whose song created the original. I will Google it later, if I think to do it.

The sample is Tom Tom Club - Genius of Love. And yes, it's the same sample Mariah used.

I was saw part of a baseball game. I love the pitch clock and pitching change/mound visit modifications. The game moves along just like if you were playing it as a kid.

The question I haven't seen answered yet is this: If a K forward is a swinging strikeout and the backward ꓘ is for the strikeout looking, what is the strikeout symbol for "didn't get into the batter's box in time"?

It's a backwards k in my book. Get in the *****in box and let's go!

I played ball til I was 20 years old. I don't think I stepped out of the box once after I turned 11.

USGA and St. Andrews are about to revise guidelines for all of it, so beware spending money right now.

    (And I don't even follow golf--just news.)

Oh, I'm not buying anything. I was just curious because I get Ping product release emails. I play between 3 and 7 times a year. The driver matters very little to my game.

  4. I drive a golf ball between 250-270 yards. I bought my current driver for $300 in 2006. I hit it straight 13 out of 14 holes.

A new driver in 2023 costs $800. My whole set of irons costs $800!

Accounting for inflation....that *****in thing better add 225 yards to my drive!!!

I am not making sauces on a grill, nor am I baking bread on one.  I need a stove and an oven.  But I get where you're headed.

I might just start a cooking thread to piss a certain someone off.  And also because I like cooking.

The thought of making sauce on a grill is awful. Sure it can be done, but it definitely shouldn't be.

This is Texas... you can use the grill year round.

And ya might have to. Especially if it hits 30 degrees and your whole power grid goes down again 😉 😛

Oh joy, baseball is back.. 250 games of a bunch of guys standing around for the better part of 4 hours... Right up there in excitement with Golf, Nascar and Curling. 🤢🤮

Average game time of 2 hours 45 minutes today. That's down 26 minutes from last year. Pitch clock, baby!

  7. Aside from the mainstays that most everyone knows, I'd recommend checking out Shane Gillis. Absolute killer. I thought he had the best special of last year.

Also, his sketch comedy is hilarious, and I kinda hate sketches. Check out Gilly and Keeves for some of that.

Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't mention one of the greatest bits of all time. Years ago Doug Stanhope had a bit about Keynesian Economic Theory as Applied to Private Sector Independent Contracting. I can't post it here, because I'll be banned. Happy youtubing.

I'm skiing while my legs are functioning and the weather is OK... Broke 50mph today for the first time... It was epic! I freaking love skiing

My ski season is officially over. Foot surgery today. Doc says about a month on crutches(we'll see.)

Keep ripping. I'm losing about 2 weeks of my season. We should be void of snow by April 8th.

  9. The amount of ball washing of guys who's team wins 72 games every year...

Here, have 2 fastballs down the pipe.

Sure wish team USA would let some pitching go to this tournament.

No, I didn't enjoy the game. Yes, I'm bitter and unreasonable!(as I complain about pitching in a game where the US gave up 3 runs and pitched pretty well.)

Where?  I have to drive through PA tomorrow and don't want to get hit w/ a storm.

Sorry dude, just saw this now. I was right and we didn't get anything. But parts of the surrounding area of north east Pennsylvania got smacked with up to about 7 inches or so of wet snow.

    And the wind is miserable.

So I had to cut the cabinet away around the pipes.

By the way:  You may notice the hot water feeds are still connected.  That's because the hot water shut off valves don't.... quite.... shut off.  Connecting both ends of the dishwasher supply line was the only way I could think of to prevent the constant drip drip drip.

Ugh, plumbing sucks. I do it all very poorly and it usually takes me 2 tries to get it right.

It used to take me 4 tries to get it right. So I got that going for me...

Jon Jones? Seems unfair to let the Martian Manhunter compete.

With his superhuman speed, strength, agility, reflexes, stamina, and durability, not to mention his superior fight intellect...yeah, you're right. It is unfair.

  13. The greatest MMA fighter to ever set foot in the octagon is about to step in the cage for the first time in 3 years. Jon Jones. The greatest fighter that ever lived. Never beaten.

I've got Bones by decision in his first heavyweight appearance. I'm hoping for the KO, but I think this goes the distance and Bones teaches Gane a lesson in every aspect of MMA. That's my bet, anyway.

  14. Introducing first: A look-see-do fighter, standing 6 foot 4, weighing in at 248 and 1 half pounds. Fighting out of Albuquerque, New Mexico via Endicott, New York, the former undisputed light heavyweight champion of the world.

    JON    BONES    JONES!!!!

Here we go. Let's go Bones!
