Phil is certainly the motivator. After the loss to Arizona, he ran a tough practice. The result? Six periods of hockey no goals while giving up eight. This season can not end soon enough. I see no reason to be hopeful about the Sabres in the near future.

Risto was indecisive and Johnson gives up a juicy rebound and it ends in the net, Not a good way to start the third period. It is wiser to sign him longer term when he is in a lull than when he is on a high. 8 years is a bit much
