Tampa Bay: Another team where fans seem to surface only when they're winning. (That goes for all three of the sports in the Bay Area, actually.)
So ###### 'em all.
Agree on the Rays and Bucs but not on the Lightning. Considering the Bay Area is full of transplants, the Lightning actually have a pretty rabid fan base.
And the Rays would do a lot better if they built a stadium closer to downtown Tampa or out by I-75 to get the Orlando fans.

I want to see that handshake today!!
Callahan should've licked his hand before shaking with Marchand.

Another lottery win ! What's next ?

Ah ... I'm a little slow. Must be the theory on the Allen over Rosen selection.
-
Whatever the heck Zay Jones was drinking when he was rambling about God while naked in that hotel with his brother when he tried to jump through a window on whatever floor he was on.
Someone posted a clip of it on this board a while back (not sure but it was in the last 6 months).
I remember the incident, but I thought it was attributed to a reaction to prescription drugs ? What does that have to do with the rest of the team ?
-
I haven't seen it but I get most of my Bills news from this board. Not exactly a surprise though. Every player on the roster will be drinking the kool aid soon enough. Let's just hope they don't all react like Zay Jones did or McCarron will have to start boning up on his exorcism techniques instead of learning how to go through progressions.
Drinking what kool-aid ? I must've missed something.

Bizarre how someone from Sweden talks about Buffalo being cold. Must not have been to Green Bay in January.

Ripped form 26CB post on TSW (thanks 26CB) from Beane's interview on WGR today
Beane on Allen - "He wasn't the only guy that we'd have been happy to take".
That's...revealing.
Meaning Mayfield and Darnold were the other guys.
-
When he is holding the Lombardi Trophy as the Super Bowl MVP I doubt he will care ;)
Waiting with baited breath until his first argument with his OC ...

Per Benjamin Albright
The Bills and Cardinals had Allen ranked as their Top QBs this year.
Must really ruffle Rosen's feathers than the team that drafted him had Allen higher.

Appreciate the clarity. How much snow do those areas get? LOL
I'd bet Chico sees a few flakes from time to time, like a couple of times every 15 years or so. Compared to Buff's every 15 minutes or so.

Local interest in the NHL Combine just ramped up.
Can Dahlin do at least 1 pullup ?
-
The internet says one is from San Mateo and the other is from Chico.
Chico is northern Cal, San Mateo is near SF.
I don't know. I did a quick search and saw a story from 2014 that talks about his professing to be an atheist.
More to the point, did this disqualify him in the owner's eyes? It's a fair question given his public statements about the faith of people he's hired.
No chance - his fragility disqualified him IMO.
-
It's been a pretty damn good 3 days !
-
Our depth at WR and RB sucks right now - especially if McCoy or Benjamin go down. Hope Beane has a plan as I don't think we're getting anybody decent in the last 2 rounds.
-
Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :flirt:
What's the inside story on Wyatt ? Scouting report says his play declined a lot in 2017.
-
No you misunderstand. I mean why didn't buffalo go 12 to 10. They still could have had Allen.
Probably not - Schefter said the Cards wanted Allen as well and could've moved ahead of #10.

Time for some Josh Allen optimism - supposedly the release time on his genuinely good (when his feet are set) throwing motion is in Tom Brady territory. And that's one of my favorite Tom Brady traits.
And watching any film I can get, it's clear that with the proper footwork, he does throw accurately. Accuracy issues that stem from your feet and hips are easily the most correctable ones. And he's already been working on it for months, apparently, having identified the problem.
He's so, so raw and I would happily let him sit for a season and a half, or even two, especially if he has to learn Erhardt-Perkins. Our line and offense in general is a mess. We'll likely experience an on field lull next year and the year after getting these guys (and that wonderful piece of human Edmunds, who I am incredibly excited about) coached up. That could lead to some high picks and greater talent being added at the top of the draft, and then all of a sudden, with 100 million in cap space, we'll be SB contenders, with the tightest locker room in the league, guys that play for each other and this city and not themselves.
At least, that's the plan. They definitely have one, and have been sticking to it this whole time. It's better than anything I've seen this franchise do in my lifetime before it.
Great post - that's the spirit. Edmunds is a beast at 6'5'" and Phillips is a great pick. Here's to more success today.

Does it matter?
Actually it does as the QB class next year is not projected to be that good.
-
Trading up to draft a high risk quarterback who isn't even going to play this year seems crazier and crazier every minute. Who could we have picked at 12 instead who would start this year? How much draft capital did we give up for nothing? Couldn't we have just drafted a QB next year?
Who did you have in mind if we finish 6-10, 7-9, etc ?
-
Alright, we know Allen will need a year or maybe two. How about the other 1st round QBs ? Any starting the 2018 season ?
-
And if we're all right? Will you replace the hospitality tent he destroys at training camp?
No, but I'll cower into a corner and apologize. And burn my Allen jersey.
-
Actually, WC's last two videos have me not hating this pick as much.
Since everyone's into predictions, I predict all of you haters will come full circle on Allen.

Pretty good stuff when a guy a month out of major surgery comes out training camp to meet a rookie.
