Foligno is back in my good books this year (as long as the score holds up :P ).
He just looks like the heavy third-liner he was supposed to be.
-
I hate Brad Richards
-
Mike Gregarenko with some more nice work.
-
Again, the Sabres PP looks a lot more confident and poised.
...when the entry is successful, that is.
It sure does.
Grigorenko and Larsson have helped, but both units just seemed more controlled.
-
I'll take full responsibility.

Depends on the weather
Or how long you've been in the pool

Is there any chance this thread will be revived next year?
It was a great diversion, but I hope to god Taro locks it when the season is over and buries the key forever.
-
After tonight, it's 96 points for pick 22 and effectively Washington is the only team they can pass.
Pit, Minny and Van only one point back each and the first two have a game in hand.
Detroit and Boston have a slim chance at catching them. Currently at 93.

If you look at our depth chart, Marner is the best fit.
But you better be sure he is Kane, not Ennis, because Hanifan's floor is Bouwmeester and his ceiling is Lidstrom.
If you think Strome is the best talent, you take him, but you may already have him in Grigorenko.

Thanks for the report.
No way does this team host another ice bowl until it is a better team.
As in a team that has added Connor McDavid?
-
He looks like an NHL player lately, but whiffed on a couple good chances. I'm liking his direction.
Hope he's not paying too much attention to his numbers because that could hurt his confidence.
-
That you think the players are suddenly "playing harder" shows that you aren't paying attention. It's not that they are "playing harder" it's that they haven't quit like so many "fans" have.
The only difference I saw in the past two games is,… wait for it,… they played Arizona and Toronto.
I like these posts.
30th for Eichel, 29th for McDavid.
Believe.

So do we want them to throw the next few games, or just have the dignity to look embarrassed when they win?
And is this letter to all the players in the room, or just the ones we don't want back next year?

I think you and dudacek are being a little snobbish on this point. The payoff for the fans accepting and living through the tank is McEichel. The payoff for season ticket holders is McEichel. You don't sell McEichel and, in the end, do not get him.
Sure, there ARE other ways to build a team. This was the early anti-tank argument, and it's true. And, I would say, applies once picks 1 and 2 are not available to you. But...BUT...we were sold McEichel. Actually, we were sold, and have been sold, McDavid. McDavid played here, I believe a few times in the last year. Murray's comments, manipulated by the media or not, have been largely about McDavid.
The argument stands that if there are other ways to build a team, and there are, why tank and put the entire community through this if you are not going to succeed. And, whether you as individuals think so or not, the tank has been about McDavid, with Eichel added later to sweeten the pot and make the entire effort more palatable. Success to, I would say, most Sabres fans, is McEichel. Do not stare down your noses at the masses here and complain that they do not understand the nuance of the situation. The situation, and the stakes, were and are clear. With all due respect, of course.
As you may have noticed, this tank has really left its mark on our little rust belt community. Again, why put everyone through this misery in the first place and then fail? That's not nothing.
Due respect right back Sizzle and a fair post because the Sabres certainly dangled the McEichel carrot.
But our fans are smart enough to understand the nuance that the Shart can no more be guaranteed than the cup. Speaking strictly for myself, I am doing a slow burn tonight over the butthurt entitlement I am reading, not only before this turtle derby is over, but when we are still winning!
Apparently the official narrative now is the Sabres deliberately put together a historically awful team so bad that not even Ted Nolan could redeem it, but once the fans embraced the tank, the players got pissed off and magically flipped the switch in order to say you to poor fans who have suffered so much?
I need to log off. Because all I can think of is that our fan base needs to grow a pair.

Holy , did I miss something.
Was Hull's foot in the crease again?
The Sabres actually beat the Leafs tonight to say you to the fans?
And they lost all those other games because...?
-
A few of you understand this was never about one player.
For the rest it was obviously unicorns, and rainbows.
And we're still leading this thing.
-
So much wasted emotion.
Just sit back and pay attention to the positives that are being overlooked these past few weeks.
Enjoy the fact that Larsson and Grigorenko really are better than Flynn and Mitchell.
Risto is looking like a stud. Foligno and Ennis seem to get it.
Girgensons will be back. Kane and Reinhart are coming.
And the culture here seems to actually be changing.
This should be the most demoralizing season since the Thrashers debut. Tim Connolly and Derek Roy would have run for the bus a month ago.
Most of you guys seem like you would be running with them.
But these Sabres seems different. And that means something.
Besides, If we finish 30th we get Eichel.
If we finish 29th we get McDavid.
Believe.

Are you loving Weber now?
-
All ye of little faith
-
OK, Matty Elllis.
I laughed out loud.
-
OK. NOW I wish I was watching.
Don't get me wrong. He didn't do anything spectacular.
He just looked the part, holding the puck slowing things down, looking for holes: Thornton, Yashin, can't remember the last time the Sabres had a guy who could play that role.
-
I have been waiting three years to see Grigorenko to set up on the half-wall like he did on that power play.
Kid's got the skills.
-
If that came from someone identified as Anonymous, wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, I'd be scared. As it is, if the Sabres put a winning product on the ice next year (McEichel or not), fans will be in the seats.
Inky?

The Sabres have won two of their past 14 games.
One was a shootout win over Boston where Lindback stopped 44 of 45 shots.
The other was against the worst team in the league
Good job of sticking it to the man.

Are you sure?
He sent me flowers.
At least my wife said they were for me.
