for me, just as hard as definately, reccommended, and fortuneatly. And now I'm working with a client who spells her name R-A-C-H-E-A-L, and I've just given up entirely.

It's incredibly long odds for such a high percentage of a particular subgroup to make the same wrong choices if nothing is systematically wrong. I encourage you to try and find empathy for them. To try and discover why they made those "choices". Don't stop at "because they were to lazy to make the right choices." Try and truly put your mind in their place and empathize.

To the first bold. This statement does not make any logical sense whatsoever. I would like you to elaborate.

Great! How do we get these kids better parents? If you never received an education, and spent half your life in prison, how do you become a role model for your sons?
-
Why did you work so hard? Why did you stay away from crime?
-
That's not what I asked.

Try and empathize with the other viewpoint for a moment. That these young men in prison often come from broken families who came from impoverished families who came from broken impoverished families who came from families that didn't exist because the mother, father, and children were sold to separate highest bidders. Where do you think these young men are going to learn these things?

where would you put the split?

 :clapping:

We control the justice system. I think confronting the Prison-Industrial Complex might be the way to start. Incarcerating it's people should be expensive enough for society that they think twice about it, and no one should ever make a profit off of it. Break that lobby down, and there might be a better conversation about the flaws in the justice system and the disconnect between the prescribed justice and the experienced results.

I think you're looking at taking those 6 guys and making them 4 guys plus 2 guys in the 27-30 year-old range with playoff experience. By the time this group is ready to run in the playoffs, Myers will be 27, so you'd have a half youth, half prime blue line. I like that for it's balance of experience and cap numbers.
-
Absolutely, that is an issue that has to be addressed, but it doesn't have to end with bullets. It all has to be addressed. And it should disturb us all. Parents need to be better, kids need to be better, cops need to be better, the system needs to be better, we all need to be better.

My Uncle, who passed away two weeks ago, was a constant activist for political change. He was rich, but chose to live a simple life and spend most of his free time with the poor and disenfranchised. He saw the value in protest, always peaceful, but always provocative. He left me with a prayer, calling on me to seek to cause disturbance. To love justice and confront evil. Last night and into this morning, I've been unable to get this out of my head. I hope that over the next few days I can figure out what I can do need to do to help all the people who are comfortable, who are not bothered, with what happened in August to become disturbed by it. A teenager died at the hands of the state in Missouri, now a 12-year-old has died at the hands of the state in Ohio. That should disturb every member of society. No one should be comfortable right now. We should all be desperately working to change all of the circumstances that lead us here. We should all be disturbed.

I was interested, so I looked it up, 7-4 in 2000.

I'm just sayin' the Constitution is awesome because it created it's own referee and rules committee. :) I agree, CNN is a shell of what it once was. They are just desperately grasping for something to save their ratings.
-
Yes, fully agreed. I don't think the Myers contract will be OK because of foresight, I think it will be OK with his continued moderate growth and some conservative cap growth assumptions, but you're dead on about spending the money you have.
-
Whether he is abiding by the constitution is not a matter of your opinion (assuming you are not one of 9 specific people), it is a matter of Law, and there is a great system set up to ensure it.
-
It often does, but it doesn't have to. I expected this outcome at the criminal level. I expect no Federal Civil Rights charges. I do expect a federal civil settlement between the DOJ and the Ferguson PD requiring some procedural changes (like body cameras) and some personnel changes (like a strengthened community relations department and probably some upper level management changes) Please take it to PM if you're going to make the messages personal.

By the time the cap matters to the Sabres again, the average NHL defenseman will be making $4.5M. Assuming Myers continues to play slightly above average, the contract will not be a burden.
-
In this case. The foresight was also 20/20. The bills FO were just wearing single season blinders.
-
I think the end began when the WH and Pentagon were sending mixed messages regarding the potential for ground troops in Northern Iraq.
-
#50 on the capgeek list makes $4.25, so figure just about all the 3/4 guys make less than that.
-
Pommer is playing on the top line and the #1 PP and is has been going back and forth between #1 and #2 in scoring for the wild. If anything, Vanek is the complimentary piece on that team.
-
I'm saying that the current state of affairs is very close to the best possible outcome he could have achieved.

None of the bold is happening if GWB doesn't invade Iraq in the first place. ISIS or similar happens unless you literally annex Iraq into the United States. It has more to do with the policies of the Saudi and Iraqi governments. The biggest difference now is that our infantry and marines are not playing meatshield for the world.
