I guess it just depends on the definition of bad. They lost on a fluke goal bad dominated the vast majority of the game, even killing off a couple of five V3. Is that bad? I guess it’s bad because you’re not winning.

The corollary to that would be Dallas was good because they won. They were not good this game.

Ray/Hamilton were talking about the shots, but also that not one Sabre was noted to be near or in the crease and that the fluke Dallas goal happened because someone was in UPLs grill. They were still unhappy about the perimeter play yet again.

Their record when the other team scores first is abysma still, and this was another game where it happened.

I don't think there is an answer here, I think this team is just flawed and incapable of putting together many complete games.

I guess you can say it’s bad when you don’t score. It’s hard to say they were freaking bad that game IMO.

I had the pleasure of listening on the radio as I'm driving up to Watertown, so I didn't get to see how they looked. A loss is a loss at this point. This effort with a loss would probably be better tolerated if they weren't such a wreck as a team.

  3. Take some of the world's most insufferable people and put them in a room and you have the Grammies.. Or a SS meet-up eh 😉

Seriously, just vaporize some hallucinogenics or something in the room and then it'll be a real show.

Sure there are...things like GH, Testosterone at supraphysiological levels, a few other steroids and now even some of the stronger SARMs do. If you said do it within the guidelines of what is acceptable by the league then probably not.

Well, I'm sure there are always things. Those are wayyyy out of my scope and things that I'm just not familiar with. Most of the sports medicine I know is from personally being injured from being a dumbass 😂😂

It sucks. Heading up to Vermont in March. Not sure what the conditions up there are like now, but really hoping it will be good then.

I skiied up in Quebec last week, it was decent, but the locals said that the slopes just opened and that was crazy for them.

Ive heard that J peak and Killington have snow but it's been super rainy

    Dude,… so bad!!!

I just want to ski, these resorts are gonna have a hard time keeping prices down (and they're already inflated) I can't remember 2 consecutive winters as poor for overall snow coverage and warm temps.

Because I trust the Sabres medical team with their care of Quinn. Quinn is not a patient of the internet poster doctor, who is speculating. Lighten up.

I trust a good portion of the sabres medical team.. I know a few of them personally. But, I also know some that I wouldn't vouch for... Just like in any hospital I've ever worked at 😂

I'm not Ortho expert by any means, but I do have a heavy hand in dealing with trauma. This is a message board, none of us know anything. Hell, even my diagnosis guess could be way off, but it just fits from what I have seen and the timing.

I'm also getting older and feel like getting out of bed causes an 8 week injury these days.

I've been posting here for over 10 years now I believe, I've had many medical discussion with the patrons of this board. I'm not upset by your take on it. If Quinn was my patient, I wouldn't be at liberty to say what was going on.

My "opinion" is that it's stupid to have him play at the end of a meaningless season. Strengthening the surrounding muscles after an injury of this nature will pay huge dividends for future Quinn, I'd personally take the extra few weeks of heavy rehab so next year, he can come back with even less risk to his twice affected lower half.

Any who, agree to disagree here 🍺

I think you underestimate how much faster a person will heal when given around the clock cutting edge treatments with trained medical staff at their beck and call versus the average person who does likely not even 1/10th of the treatments and PT/rehab he will be doing and has no such staff of medical professionals on call 24/7.

That's well and good, and sure helps bring young, in shape and "rich" with medical staff around the clock. But there isn't any proven way to remodel bone faster and other than PRP and ultrasound Shockwave therapy, etc these things take time, we can cut off a little bit of time from the above mentioned.

Maybe he will come back in 6 weeks. A lot of pro athletes do it all the time, it doesn't mean they're actually ready to. It's typically case by case (must win game, playoffs on the line, etc) this current iteration of the buffalo sabres at this point in time, has zero reason to rush any healing injury. In 6 weeks if were knocking on the door, maybe we can revisit that.

I was sober... Me thinks that if I was drunk, the bathrobe would have hot made it with me to Tim Hortons 😂

I thought I saw a clip suggesting that the Sabres mixed it up a bit at some point after Quinn's injury. But looking at the box score, I just see some double minors for roughing.

What's become of Cozens? He showed clear signs of being a guy who would not put up with that sh1t. Perhaps Adams and/or Granato have him second-guessing/managing that aspect of his game/nature.

Probably that broken jaw had something to do with it no?

But in general, this whole team is *****

  11. I was still waiting for something to happen to the Sharks. But as always...the team just had nothing to give. I'm not even talking about a fight or being dirty. Maybe my military training gave me a different sense of "team" This team is just soooo easy to root against this season.

Based on what I see with players in the NFL and how quickly they come back from things now, rehab and surgeries have gotten much more effective at getting them back to 100% much quicker than it used to be.

I'm a doctor that sees all kinds of issues with patients that think they're healed, then push it, then have a setback. Sometimes minor and sometimes, they need to have another procedure.

If we were pushing for the playoffs then, OK, maybe. But this team is a train wreck, Quinn now has 2 serious injuries in a short span of time. Shut it down, really let that $hit heal until next season when we may finally decide to field a winning team (ha).

Why? If it's an 8 week injury it's an 8 week injury.

8 weeks doesn't mean it's fully healed, sure on an xray, but the surrounding ligaments, plus conditioning. Also the sabres aren't making the playoffs, so take the extra time, rehab, strengthen the surrounding muscles to take the stress of the already injured area and hit it hard next year.

Lol - I said "kid," but didn't mention she was 21 at the time, injured while playing college ball. I recall the doc saying "Weber B" and "unstable," for sure. [Homer voice] Stupid unstable Weber B. And I take your imparted lesson: These are all situational.

Ah, the ol "kid" phrase got me lol. We do know that Weber was unstable eh 😉
