I agree. I would likely anxiously sit Levi if we had a real life, entrenched starting NHL quality goaltender. But we don't. They have all been streaky. So play the hot hand. Based on the Skinner "Unleash the beast" post game interview, the team also loves him in net. There isn't a goal tender on the roster that is a standard deviation better than Levi at the moment.

I think height is overblown in the 2023 NHL. I just think size has been a workaround to make up for the lack of twitchy goaltenders. Buffalo has certainly seen "smaller" goaltenders in Hasek and Miller be successful. That said, Levi presents smaller than his listed 6'0. I don't think his height is a huge problem at the moment.

Anderson or Levi?

I have talked to a lot of friends/family about how I have really enjoyed watching the Sabres again. I know a certain faction of people who text me after every game. After a win "yeah, well their goals against are historically bad. This is one of the worst teams ever. I can't believe you like them. After a loss, "see I told you this team sucks. Just like the ROR, Eichel, etc. problems" These people (I am talking to you Uncle Tim) are by far the least favorite parts of my Sabres this season. No matter how bad they play, this type of "fan" ruins every game. Edit: I will say that post Damar Hamlin, the way I experience Buffalo sports is different. I am just enjoying the ride and the couple hours of cheering, rather than the total holistic investment. A guy laying dead on National TV really changed my perspective on things.

A lot is riding on the next few weeks, if you could keep your TV off that’d be great.

I think part of Levi signing is the team agreeing to play him in meaningful games. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t get another 2-3 more at least. Not to mention, UPL and Comrie have also buckled under pressure.

She was a keynote speaker at an event I was at a while back. I enjoyed it.

Not to mention he was drafted by the Panthers. Imagine him going into their house and stonewalling them in his second ever game.

I was just hoping they’d point me in the fire too of where to purchase.

Bruins have been the better team so far, and by a huge margin. I hope they put the Pens away in short order. Feels like it could get out of hand pretty quickly…if they don’t let the Pens stick around.

Everything heats up again with a Sabres win and Penguins loss today. Would make it a 3 point race.

I hope so, but that was the dumbest goal. If you gave him 100 attempts he couldn’t repeat that again.

I don’t know what it is, but there’s something about watching his family cheering and bowing down that get me going. We’ve seen a million other parents for the Bills and Sabres. But they’re all about it. It’s awesome!

Just in general we seem to have a tendency to swarm in both ends of the ice. Sometimes it feels like I’m watching kids play soccer. I know we need to play better defense but we also seem to collapse in the defensive zone as the game goes on. It’s when that happens things start to go south quickly.

Not even quick. I don’t think anybody would have batted an eye. I think the ref lost the puck too. Everybody was hacking around. Ugh.

The entire team was a full second behind the play/JJP. Christ.
