People complain about the attendance at the arena. I know that the Sabres play 41 away games and 41 home games. Maybe less games on Tuesday or Wednesday nights may increase attendance. We rarely see weekend games consistently anymore

With Quinn and Samuelson out, the most Sabres-like thing to do would be to make the playoffs in the last game of the season and then we are stuck with this team for 2 more years

So this is the Sabres version of the Bills 17 year drought. If we compare, we are 12 years in so this is the 2012 version of the bills. Who did they have, Ryan Fitzpatrick as QB? I wonder if Bills fans then ever though of bringing back Marv or Wade Philips lol

Looks like there’s more sharks fans today in San Jose than there are for your average Buffalo Sabres game. Shouldn’t there be something better to do in California at 3pm?

Christian Ehrhoff had 7 years left on his deal in 2014 when he was bought out. He is on the payroll until 2028. Maybe this explains the ineptitude and the seemingly brainwashed status quo attitude of Sabres management. Year after year there are free agent signings and trades to be made both incoming and outgoing yet they are never made. We are often sold false hope that the young guys and the draft are the future. Maybe Darcy Regier had a crystal ball. Maybe the suffering ends in 2028 and it was just a lot longer than we imagined? Darcy made that comment in April of 2013. Maybe it’s a 15 year spell that he cast?

My prediction is that we end up in 9th and miss the playoffs by 1 point. This cycle of continuous hope with no results

I clicked on this thinking it was last night's game day thread. I didn't even know they were playing tonight. There used to be a day where i wouldn't even miss the west coast games. Can't wait to wake up in the morning and laugh at the score.

To the Buffalo ***** Sabres, You have sucked and let us down continually in drastic ways for almost 13 years now. Start being good and stop sucking. The Bills Super Bowl hopes this year are dead so now myself and most of Buffalo is looking to you to lift our spirits. Make your pathetic selves useful and make a run, make the playoffs and make me a happy fan again. I’ve been a fan of yours for the past 20 years. If you don’t change your sub standard play and lackluster efforts I’m going to find a new team and it may be the Maple Leafs. Finish a damn check, hit more, shoot the puck instead of trying for fancy one timers, get someone in front of the net and use your God given talent and speed. I will always be a Buffalo Sabres fan. When I try and watch other games I just get a bad taste in my mouth because I can’t help but think how lousy our team is/has been. I want to find a team out west like Edmonton or Colorado to watch because I like the entertainment aspect of the sport. Nashville seems fun too but they’re not great. I also want to watch Pittsburgh and Washington for nostalgia’s sake. As I get older I appreciate the older players (even though they were annoying when they were new). That being said, I just can’t bother to tune in to these games because I feel nothing. Help me. What is the answer?

I love hockey. My love for the Sabres is waning. I feel disengaged. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen them skate hard, hit hard and out shoot the other team. Bring back Lindy Ruff and bring back the tough as nails attitude. I think I’m checking out for a month. Maybe I’ll check box scores, maybe.

My New Year’s resolution was to eliminate stress by not turning on the games until 9:15. I will be doing that again tonight as Buffalo is 2-0 while I’ve done that. See you all later!
