  1. I was wondering if Gudas would be treated as a repeat offender.  I figured there was no way he isn't on the league radar, but I didn't recall hearing of a prior suspension.  Good to know that he's got repeat offender status if he's suspended here.

Hell, he ought to get repeater stauts for the two intents to injure in this game.

Guys like this fly under the radar, while the league tries to condemn someone like John Scott. If more teams had a John Scott on their roster players like Gudas wouldn't be pulling the crap that they are. JMO

  2. No matter what happens to McCoy legally, there is zero chance he gets cut. According to this, his cap hit would be about $5.5 million higher if we cut him.

If they cut him after June 1st, the hit do to cutting him would be much lower. From $13 Million to $5.1 Million.

  3. They'll be releasing Mario Williams, Leodis and perhaps a few others to open cap space. Signing Glenn will use that space. If they don't sign Glenn, that space will remain open.

Corey Graham makes basically the same as McKelvin, I would rather see Graham go before McKelvin.  Leodis gets a bad rap mainly because of his untimely fumbles. The secondary is really short on good depth, I think letting McKelvin go would be a mistake.

    So soon ?

  4. I would love to see Kane-Eichel-Bailey tonight

It would be nice, but I think we're more likely to see him with Catenacci and Legwand like WC posted.

BTW, great GDT as usual WildCard. Thank you.

Seeing these GDT photos lately makes me miss Ennis. Even when he's struggling, he brings some excitement on offense to the Sabres.

Matt Moulson has not scored a goal in 41 games, does he net one tonight   ?

  5. Gotta make sure we immediately shift the blame to the black football players. As if the other parties being LEO's gives them benefit of the doubt. No way some off-duty cops could ever be giant a**holes.

It has nothing to do with race, professional athletes often have serious entitlement issues and believe they are above everyone, including the law. There's just as many cases of white athletes as black athletes acting like and it being reported. Not a damn thing to do if they were black or not.

  6. Watch it again. After ball touches ground (1st time, not 2nd like Phil Simms found issue w/) as reciever rolls over, ball moves. Only way it's a catch when the ball touches is if that doesn't cause the ball to move at all.

And if THAT doesn't convince you, Mike Perry (Carey) thought it was a catch. Ergo, no catch. ;)

Haha, that's the exact thing I said.

  7. Can someone tell me why we are in such a rush to trade Ennis? He's a proven NHL 2nd liner who is still young (25), can play any forward position, and by all accounts is a good locker room guy.

I'll never understand it. As slow as Ennis started the season (which is not new) and dealing with injury, he still is 4th in points per game and I have little doubt that if he would of had the full amount of games he'd be 2nd in points. Even if he did continue on the pace he was going, which was sub par, he would be 4th in scoring. On a team that has trouble netting the puck (25th), getting rid of a goal scorer is not the best idea IMO.

  8. I recently saw H8ful Ate, The Forest, and The Revenant.

H8ful ate was very meh. I love pretty much every other Tarantino film but this one felt like he was just going by the numbers to make another movie. It was a period film (1868 in the West) shot like a western. The first 45 minutes had me super excited but it quickly fizzled out. The climax was very boring to me. Without Walton Goggins there would've been very little to keep me in my seat.

The Forest was okay. Just a pretty good horror film, nothing more. Nat Dormer displayed her chops and: she's a good actress. GoT criminally underutilizes her. The movie needed more focus, especially more visual unity between the beginning and end. There weren't any overlying themes or visual metaphors, and this film was just begging for it.

The Revenant was amazing. Best use of nature in a film that I've ever seen. This movie is about a guy in 1823, nature, life, and whether or not we even deserve it. One of my favorite movies of the year along with Fury Road.

To me watching Hateful 8 was like watching a bad remake of Reservoir Dogs wearing cowboy hats and cowboy boots. The Revenant was very good IMO, just a little long at the end. Have not seen the Forest yet, trailer looks alright, but that easily could be misleading.

I don't watch a lot of made for TV, but I enjoyed The X-Files season 10, third episode (just this past week) very much. It was one of the most humorous X-Files I remember.

  9. Leave it up to someone like John Scott to wreck the integrity of a 3 on 3 All Star game. I'd rather see 6 John Scott's out there than watch what the league is trying to do to an already unwatchable game. If there's any reason I would watch this game it would be John Scott.

I like John Scott, I think he received an unfair reputation as some kind of dirty player, while the league ignores some of the real dirty cheapshot artist out there.

  10. Frey wasn't exactly a giant. Important part of a legendary group? Sure. A giant? :/

I sort of feel the same way. The Eagles are "giant", and Frey put together some great lyrics with the band, but on his own, I really can't say there's anything that I really like of his.  Still 67 is too young for someone to pass on.

  11. As bad as the Saints defense was, they improved in every defensive category after Rob Ryan left. Ryan was fired in the middle of November and I can't imagine that his phone was ringing with job offers.

Since 2010 Ryan has spent 1 year in Cleveland, 1 year in Dallas and 1 3/4  of a year in New Orleans, where he coordinated one of the worst defenses in NFL history. What a track record.
